Chapter 33

Shane and I walked into the auditorium and took our seats up front so that we could give Julia our support.

Drew also sat with us and cheered when the curtains closed and opened to reveal the first act.

Julia's character was Miranda and she played the role perfectly.

She didn't even itch to say her lines.

The play ended with Prospero's speech.

We all stood up and applauded at their marvelous acting.

When everyone was leaving Julia ran up to us an jumped onto Drew.

He spun her around and she laughed.

When he put her down and she ran into me and we hugged.

"You were great Juli" I grinned at her.

We all went out to Burger king to celebrate Julia's great acting when Shane disappeared.

"Where's Shane? He was just here a minute ago" I asked looking around confused.

"I don't know, I thought I saw him go in the direction of the restroom" Julia shrugged.

"Okay" I said while I skimmed the menu and decided I wanted a Zinger.

Shane later came back and I saw Drew walk out with him.

I didn't even realize that Drew was missing too.

What were they up to?

"Where were you guys?" I asked eyeing them both.

Their faces gave nothing away.

"The restroom" Drew answered and sat beside Julia pecking her on the lips.

I wanted to throw up.

We made our orders and collected them digging in and eating to our heart's content.

I noticed that Shane kept sending glances my way so I looked at him with my eyebrows raised.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing" he said grinning.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Okay, there's some mayo on your lips" he said.

I reached up to wipe it but he grabbed my hands and kissed my lips.

I was left in a daze as he pulled away and kicked his lips.

"Yum" he said grinning at me.

"You guys are so cute" Julia said.

"Get a room" Drew grumbled and I glared at him.

He and Julia did as much PDA as Shane and I.

"I can't wait to hear you guys sing tomorrow" Julia squealed and I grinned at her.

"Me either" I said.

I swung Shane and my hand between us that was interlocked as we exited Burger King.

"Let's go to our place" he whispered in my ear.

"Sure" I smiled at him.

We said goodbye to Drew and Julia and Shane drove us to our spot.

"This place is so beautiful, I can't over it" I said looking around.

"Yeah, its beautiful" Shane said looking around before his eyes settled on me.

I sensed the double meaning.

We took seats in the sand and I rested my head on his shoulders.

"Can I do something?" I heard Shane say and I looked up at him.

"Sure" I smiled.

He pulled me to my feet and kneeled on one knee in front of me.

Huh?

"I am so nervous right now but I've been wanting to ask this ever since we confessed our feelings" he said taking a deep breath.

I saw him take a box from his pocket and I gasped.

"Will you be my girlfriend Shana? This is a promise ring
...a promise that I'll always be yours and you'll always be mine" he said grinning at me.

Obviously I misinterpreted the action.

"Yes!" I said throwing myself at at him.

He put the ring on my finger and captured my lips in a kiss.

I was so happy.
