I knocked on Shane's door early Sunday morning waiting patiently for him to answer.

I told my parents that I was going to spend the day with my friends and they agreed since I passed my essay and my Music recital.

The door opened to reveal a small little girl who looked no older than five.

She had a cute look on her face maybe from confusion.

Her hair was black and curly resting on her shoulders and she was wearing a cute blue nightie.

I smiled at her.

This must be Shane's little sister, why haven't I seen her before?

"Hi" she said cutely and I wanted to pinch her cheeks but resisted.

She was so cute.

"Hi, is Shane home?" I asked stooping to her level.

"Yes, who are you!" She asked looking at me with her cute brown eyes.

"I'm Shana, Shane's friend" I said and I saw recognition cross her face.

"You're Shana?" She said grinning like she knew something I didn't.

Just as I was about to question her I saw Raven come to the door.

"Nara, what are you doing at the- oh hi Shana" she said with a huge grin on her face.

"Hi Raven" I replied.

"Shane's upstairs" she said moving aside to let me in.

I thanked her and made my way to his room.

I knocked and heard 'come in' so I pushed the door open to see him sprawled out on his bed.

I grinned and ran jumping right onto the bed which bounced and flung him to the ground.

"Ugh" he mumbled into the floor he was face planting.

"I can't hear you" I said in a teasing tone.

He suddenly sprang up and launched himself at me.

He was not light.

I felt the air being knocked out of my lungs and I glared at him.

"We're even" he said getting up.

"You almost killed me" I grumbled when air filled my lungs again.

"That was the point" he winked and it wasn't what he said but the action that made my heart flutter.

I jumped off the bed and landed straight on his back wrapping my legs around his waist and my hands around his neck.

"Take me to food!" I shouted slapping him like a horse.

He laughed and carried me downstairs to the kitchen on his back.

He dropped me onto the island and began to make sandwiches.

Raven walked in.

"How cute, make some for Nara and I too" she said and Shane groaned.

"Fine" he mumbled.

She left and went into the living room where Nara was watching TV.

"How come this is the first time I've met your sister?" I asked looking at his back while he made the sandwiches.

Damn he was fit, but I don't know of him playing any sports...mmm.

"She's always over at Dad's" he said shrugging.

"Your Dad doesn't live here?" I asked surprised.

"Nope, parents divorced when I was fifteen" he said turning to face me.

I could see the sadness in his eyes but he tried to hide it with his care free expression.

"Sandwiches are ready" he said putting the peanut butter Sandwich beside me.

I grabbed one and took a bite moaning at the taste.

I looked at Shane and noticed that he was staring at me.

"What?" I asked blinking at him.

"You've got a little something there" he said reaching to the corner of my lips with his thumb.

He swiped it and put the finger into his mouth.

"Nice" he said still staring at me.

He began to lean in when -

"Shane are the sandwiches done?" Raven shouted from the living room and snapped us both from our staring.

I cleared my throat and looked away.

He took up the sandwiches and took them out to his mom.

What just happened?
