Chapter 10

I lost Julia.

We stepped into the arcade and she immediately took off.

And left me standing with Shane.

I walked over to an unoccupied video game and started to play.

I'm sure she was somewhere in here having the time of her life.

Shane soon joined me and we were having a faceoff.

And currently, I was winning.

I laughed in his face when it was over and he laughed along with me.

"In your face loser" I teased.

"Okay, but I bet you can't beat me at another game" he chuckled.

"Bring it on" I said ready for the challenge.

I played like my life depended on it.

And in the end-

He won.

Ugh

I think he only chose that game because he knew he was good at it.

"Cheater!" I accused him.

He laughed.

"I didn't cheat" he chuckled.

I rolled my eyes and looked around the room for Julia.

It was after four and I was really hungry.

What? The only thing I ate today was a bag of chips.

I spotted Julia flirting with a guy and I rolled my eyes.

I walked over to her to tell her that we were ready to go but I had to practically drag her away.

"Shan!" She shouted my name but I still held onto her hand dragging her over to the food court.

When we stepped in I let go of her and gave her an innocent smile.

"I'm hungry" I shrugged.

I found a table and soon was joined by Julia and Shane.

"Mmmm I feel for a Burger" I said rubbing my bottom lip.

We got up to order and got our food at the same time.

As I sat down and bit into my burger, I felt pure bliss.

"Mmmm, this is so good" I moaned and saw Julia take a bite into her pizza.

Shane also got a Burger but he was not eating as nasty as I was.

I was hungry, I didn't care.

"You've got a little something right there" I heard Shane say.

I looked up at him and reached for the napkin.

He beat me to it and reached over to wipe my mouth.

I froze.

"There" he said and pulled back giving me a smile.

A sexy smile at that.

And there goes my heart.

"He likes you" Julia said through the phone.

I was currently at home and in my warm bed.

We left the arcade after six because Shane had to babysit his little sister and I really wanted my bed.

"No he doesn't" I huffed for the millionth time since she called.

"Yes he does"

"We've known him for like a week" I said rolling my eyes.

"Haven't you heard about love at first sight" she asked.

"Yes but this is not the case, I don't even know why he hangs out with us, there are so many popular people at school" I said stretching my body on the bed.

"Because we're awesome, duh" she said and I laughed.

"Correction: you're awesome, I'm just there" I said.

"You're awesome too, no...you're super awesome!" She said like a child and I had to laugh.

"Bye Juli" I said into the phone.

"Bye Shanny" she said and I cringed.

"Where'd you get that nickname from?" I asked. She normally said Shan.

"Don't worry about it, sleep tight...dream about S-"

I hanged up the call before she could finish her sentence.

There is no way that he could like me.

Is there?

I dismissed those thoughts and fell into a deep sleep.
