It has been weeks since I last saw my daughter and Janine. Life has been moving, days piling on top of each other, but that one day with my daughter still lingers in my mind. I actually enjoyed it. More than I expected to.
That day meant something. Even if things with Janine were blurry and uncertain, that one afternoon with my daughter was clear. It was real. And I didn't know how much I needed it until I had it again.
After that day, the only way to communicate with my daughter was through chat and calls.
Her cousins and our daughter invited me but the celebrant didn't so I refused to go.
In just eleven months, I managed to buy resorts from different places here in Luzon.
As of now, nag agree ako sa appointment ng meeting sa Cebu. They're selling a beach resort and I had to see it myself before the contract signing.
I'm really thankful that all of my resorts are successful. Three of my public resorts will be transfer under Reese and my brothers name. I'll just process the papers when I have enough time.
It was all fun and games. I had managers that keeps me updated with my resorts.
I managed to renovate our house in Bulacan.
Things are going easily and smoothly until today.
Aubrey kept on ringing my doorbell.
"Pasok ka," I opened my door wider but only Reese went inside.
"Tito John is in the hospital." parang nagmamadaling saad nito sa medyo namumutlang itsura.
Did I hear her right?
At least I know that Janine is here in the Philippines.
"Is she okay?" tanong ko pa.
I'm worried. Her birthday is nearing and I know how it feels like to spend you birthday in a terrible condition.
It took me a lot of thinking before I finally decided to visit the hospital. I kept going back and forth in my head, questioning whether I should go, whether I even had the right to show up.
