Abigail Faye Bennett is walking through her hometown of Richmond, Virginia, alone. She had to get away from her horrible father, James Bennett. His abuse had become too much for the day. He slaps her around daily, that's nothing new.
James decided to lock Faye (A/N: Faye is Abigail) in a cabinet under the kitchen sink. He put a pad lock on it and everything. As soon as James let Abigail out, she fled and left the house, ignoring his cussing and vulgar language.
Faye is walking quietly down the streets of Richmond when she is suddenly against a brick wall in one of the alleys, a sharp pain shoots up and down her spine. She meets a pair of dark brown eyes that are blood shot, there are veins around his eyes, and there are fangs penetrating from his gums.
"Hello there, you pretty thing," the vampire purrs. "Do you know what I am?"
Faye nods her head rapidly, terror filling her veins as she stares into the eyes of the vampire. She knows what he is. A vampire.
"Don't scream," he compels and Faye unwillingly listens.
The vampire sinks his fangs into her neck and he is suddenly thrown off by a raven haired man, also veiny.
"Run," he says before he runs at the other vampire.
Faye doesn't have to be told twice before she takes off running down the alley. She knows plenty of shortcuts home.
And as soon as Faye steps foot into the house, James tells her they're moving and he locks her in the cabinet until everything is packed and out into moving trucks.
