It's been about three days since the founder's party. Faye has spent most nights with Tyler, with Carol and Rudy's permission. Carol has grown quite fond of Faye over the past few day's. She approves of Tyler's choice in girlfriend after Vicki. The mayor has yet to come around.

Faye wakes up alone and she sighs. This isn't a surprise. Tyler's either ar school or downstairs. Faye looks at her phone and sees that it's only 5:30 in the morning, which means Tyler is probably working out in the basement or having coffee.

Faye gets dressed and she walks downstairs. She hears the kitchen and she hears a slap. She walks in and sees the mayor with a look of fury in his eyes and Tyler holding his cheek.

"What did you do?" Faye asks the mayor with disbelief.

"That is none of your business, Abigail," mayor Lockwood growls.

"Oh, so you abusing your son, my boyfriend, is none of my business?" Faye asks as she steps in between Richard and Tyler, Tyler's eyes fill with shock. "What'd he do? Go against your word on something? Or was it because of his existence? How long have you been abusing him?"

"You have no idea what you're talking about," Richard growls as carol walks in cautiously.

"I don't?" Faye rolls her dark eyes. "My father abused me my entire life just for being born, mr. mayor. I know what abuse looks like when I see it. You've no right to hit Tyler for doing nothing but being alive. You've no right to dictate a life you created."

Richard glares into Faye's eyes as Carol pulls Tyler toward her, to keep him safe in case Richard snaps.

"You might put on that 'I'm perfect and have the perfect family' act in front of the people," Faye continues, "but mr. mayor, I know how you are behind closed doors now."

Richard stares at Faye for a while before he grins. "Huh. Maybe you are Lockwood worthy, after all." He looks at Tyler and his wife before heading to his office.

"You okay, Tyler?" Faye asks.

"Yeah..." Tyler stares at her. "What the hell was that?"

"Can't stand abusive fathers," Faye shrugs.

"James Bennett abused you?" Carol asks with a shaky voice. "Oh god, I didn't expect him to be that way when he married Laney."

At the mention of Faye's mother's name, she grimaces and looks down. Laney is a dark skinned woman from New Orleans, somewhere in the bayous. She even had a pet alligator. She had met James when he was on a party adventure with his other drinking buddies and it was love at first sight.

But two years after Faye was born, Laney disappeared. James thought she just left and went back to Louisiana. Laney never liked Richmond because it was so far away from her family.

"I'm sorry for bringing her up," Carol coos, "but was she ever found?"

"No, ma'am, she wasn't," Faye replies. "Maybe James was right... she just left because she was tired of Richmond."

Carol squeezes Faye's shoulders. "Maybe."

Tyler looks at the time. "Faye, we should go."

She nods and she bids farewell to Carol. Tyler and Faye leave the mansion hand-in-hand, leaving Carol behind smiling from ear to ear. Carol really likes Faye.

Faye goes with Bonnie to Caroline's house when she parts from Tyler. Damon had attacked and nearly killed Caroline. If Stefan hadn't have laced Caroline's wine with with vervain, Caroline would have been drained to dry. Caroline and Faye aren't real close but they have grown closer.
