Chapter 30

Faye sees Aimee Bradley's face all over the walls the following morning at school, Katherine had killed her at the masquerade ball to get her point across. Katherine can be extensive and a bit extra, but Faye respects the lengths Katherine will go to show she means business. Even if she hates her. But accroring to the people, she's missing.

Faye moves on to a girl named Sarah's locker, she's the one Tyler accidentally killed in order to trigger his werewolf curse. Tyler stops walking beside Faye and looks at the pictures of Sarah and the candles. When Ty begins feeling uncomfortable, he walks away.

Faye sighs. "I'm sorry, Sarah. Your friends will miss you and so will your family."

Faye is walking down the hall until Stefan stops her.

"Elena's missing," Stefan declares. "She didn't go home last night."

"This has Katherine written all over it," Stefan demands, he is outside the school with Damon,  Faye, and Lori.

"Katherine's in the tomb," Damon states. "Trust me; I'm the one who shut her in."

"Did you?" Stefan asks him.

"Did I what, Stefan?" Damon asks, annoyed.

"Well, I know the hold Katherine has on you," Stefan claims.

"She's in the tomb, period," Damon demands. "End if story but she did say something to me right before I shut her in. I thought she was lying."

"What did she say?" Faye asks him curiously.

Damon looks between her and Stefan. "Elena's in danger."

"What?" Stefan gasps, anger in his voice. "And you didn't think to ask her to elaborate?"

"Everything she says is a lie!" Damon exclaims. "How am I supposed to know if she's gonna start spouting out the truth?"

"We have to talk to her," Stefan demands.

"No, no," Damon says all too quickly. "Let me tell you how that's gonna go: we're gonna go ask her for help, she's gonna negotiate her release which we're gonna be dumb enough to give her and she's gonna get out and kill us!"

"It's exactly what she wants," Lori adds, she has been a big member of the 'scooby gang' as Morgan always called it.

"I don't really care," Stefan says.

"It's a bad idea...."

"She's family," Faye says, Elena is her step-sister.

"It's Elena," Stefan adds from beside Faye.

Faye, Lori, and Stefan are with Bonnie and Jeremy in s random class room in the high school. Morgan has told Faye and Lori she's moving, she broke up with Lori. Lori didn't cry, she wanted to but she knows that saving Elena from these older vampires is a priority, she can cry later.

"I can't undo the tomb spell, Stefan," Bonnie informs the youngest Salvatore. "Even if I wanted to. It took both me and our Grams..." she looks at Faye when she says 'our Grams', and Faye offers her a smile, Bonnie smiles back and turns back to Stefan. "....to undo it the first time."

"But I can open the door, right?" Stefan asks. "I can talk to her?"

"Yeah but Damon's right," Bonnie replies. "She's not gonna tell you anything, not without something in return."

"I know but Bonnie, I have to do something," Stefan declares. "I have no idea who has Elena; I have no idea where she is."

"What if there's another way to find her?" Bonnie asks.
