Chapter 34

Faye and Lori have went to the high school, they're helping set up for the Booster Club Barbecue. Lori is wanting to get control of her urges and be around humans. Both Stefan and Damon agreed that it as a good idea. Stefan's approval was a shock to both friends.

Caroline is talking to Tyler; while Laney was turning the previous night, so was Tyler and Care was helping him through it. Laney had her husband so she was also not alone during her turn. Faye was thankful John called her when he did and Faye was able to be there verbally for her turning mother.

"How was your mother when she called this morning?" Lori asks Faye.

"Sore," Faye replies. "Tired and sore. But she's good."

"That's good," Lori says. "That looked horrible, what she went through. I hope you don't have to go through with that."

"Same here," Faye admits. "Same here."

"Faye," Tyler says as he walks over. "How you doing?"

"Good," Faye replies. "I miss your uncle Mason."

"Me too," Tyler admits. "I miss him a lot here lately."

"I know about your curse," Faye whispers as they walk away from Lori.

"How?" Tyler asks.

"I have the same one," Faye replies. "Just a different blood line and mine isn't triggered."

Tyler sighs. "I'm not alone?"

"Nope," Faye replies. "You're not alone."

Tyler smiles in relief as the two sit and talk. Ty tells Faye about his turn.

Faye goes to the Grill after spending a few hours helping at the school and she gets her a helping of fries before heading to work wirh Mrs. Lockwood. Carol loves how Faye still wants to work for her after Richard's death and Tyler cheating on her. She's glad.

Carol absolutely adores Faye. She's hard working, bright, smart, says no to drugs, turned her husband down, and she put up with Tyler. Carol grew an even bigger respect for Faye when she went through with the miss Mystic Falls dance after Tyler cheated, with him as her escort.

"Hey, sweetie," Carol greets when Faye enters the Lockwood mansion.

"Hello, mayor Lockwood," Faye greets. "What are we doing today?"

"We'll be going to that barbecue later, possibly," Carol replies. "But we both have paperwork in the meantime."

Faye groans.

"I know," Carol replies. "I reacted the same way when I woke and saw both piles. How did Richard do it?"

"He was a hardass with an alcohol problem," Faye muses.

Carol chuckles softly at those words. "I suppose you're right. Let's get to work, shall we?"

Faye nods and they head into the mayor's office, which is now Carol's.

Faye and the mayor go to the high school later after there is a commotion. Rose. Faye excuses herself while Carol goes to smooth the people and she goes to the boarding house in her leggings and low cut blouse.

"Rose..."

"Abigail," Rose wheezes. "Hey."

"You shouldn't be in here," Damon says.

"I'm saying goodbye, shut up," Faye growls. "Hey, Rose."

"Hey," Rose greets. "You know what the worst part about it is? The hunt, the need to kill, the thirst, Andie pleasure it brings you afterwards. I wasn't meant to be evil."

"None of us are," Faye coos as she sits beside her, ignoring Damon's burning eyes.

"It hurts," Rose whimpers.

"I know," Faye coos and she takes Rose's hand, Damon almost yells for Faye to leave before she's hurt but doesn't. "Don't talk about it, gorgeous."

"Damon is a lot like me," Rose says as Elena leans against the door. "He wants to care but when he does..."

"He runs," Faye says and she glances at Damon, "I know, even from chocolate."

"Faye," Damon grunts. "Not now."

Rose giggles and then grunts. She looks at Elena. "I'm sorry for what I've done today."

"I know," Elena replies.

"You need to fight," Rose adds. "I know that you're scared but you have to do it anyway and that means you, too, Abigail."

Rose starts coughing roughly and Faye rubs her back soothingly she Damon stays quiet.

"Why are you so nice to me?" Rose asks them Bennett.

"You're hot," Faye winks.

Rose snorts. "No, I'm not. I look like a mess."

"A hot mess," Faye adds. "I wanted to come by and see you, I heard you were getting worse."

"Don't take it out once wolves, Faye," Rose wheezes. "You know..." she clears her throat, "you know Damon, angering the wrong species."

Faye smirks at Damon. "I know. First Mason and now Jules."

Rose smiles and she squeezes Faye's hand. "It's too bad we didn't share a bed."

Faye leans down and she kisses Rose. "How's that?" She whispers and Damon's eyes widen.

"One more time," Rose whispers. "And then you need to leave."

Faye gives Rose one kiss before she leaves the boarding house.

Faye goes to Damon's after Elena is for sure gone and Rose is dead. Damon looks at her wirh just eyes and she walks over and hugs him tightly. Damon buries his face into Faye's hair and inhales before sinking his fangs in, warning a gasp and a moan.
