Chapter 22

                       Laney pulls and makes the corset tighter, Faye grunts at the feeling of losing her breath. Laney snickers ad Faye's reaction and she helps her into the beautiful red decade dress. She has one black glove on her good hand.

"Why didn't you have Damon heal you?" Laney asks.

"Then everyone would ask questions," Faye replies. "They saw the trailer land on both our wrists. Not just Matt's."

Laney nods in understanding, Faye doesn't want to risk exposing Damon. She thinks a lot of him.

"Wait..." Faye stops Damon. "My mom's boyfriend could be Elena's biological father?"

Damon nods. "Yeah. It makes sense, to be honest."

"Yeah, I suppose it does," Faye replies, remembering what Damon has told her. "How do I look?"

"Very beautiful," Damon compliments. "Red pops on you."

Faye curtsies and she goes to find Tyler. When she does, Caroline has a picture with Matt, and Faye has one taken with Tyler. Faye then has Morgan take paigcure of her with Caroline and Bonnie. Matt walks away as Tyler sticks around. Matt is grumpy enough since Tyler will be on the same float as him but he can't say anything about that, Tyler will be beside Faye.

The miss Mystic court float goes down, Faye waves her good hand at the crowd as Elena and carokine do the same, smiling too. Damon steps up near Bonnie and Faye smiles at Morgan and Lori when she spots them. She waves, and they do, too. Laney is watching as well, from behind Morgan and Lori.

After the parade, Faye grabs her bag from her mother and goes to the grill. She changes into some modern clothes; dark jeans, a low cut black long sleeves and some Jordan's. Faye then joins Laney again and they go to the restaurant area of the grill. Damon is standing alone but before Faye can approach him, Elena does in her everyday clothes.

Faye frowns and she walks over to where Morgan and Lori are. Faye kind of likes Damon, but he's always around Elena or another female. Damon notices Faye and he excuses himself and leaves Elena.

"Faye, walk with me?"

Faye looks at her friends, who both not rapidly. Faye sighs and she walks with Damon.

"You look good in black," Damon states. "And a red cast."

"Want to sign it?" Faye asks and Damon nods.

Faye grabs a sharpie from a passing waiter, who chuckles and walks on. The teen hands Damon the sharpie and he signs theb cast.

Hey beautiful. Damon was here. Xoxo.

He draws a kissy face, poorly, and he hangs the sharpie back to the waiter. Damon wraps an arm around Faye's shoulders and he looks around the Grill.

Faye and Laney end up going home not long after Faye and Damon's talk. Laney has been teasing Faye about what Damon signed on her cast the entire way.
*...+...* *...+...* *...+...*

That night while Faye and her mother are watching Selena, they suddenly hear a very high pictured tone that makes them groan in misery as the lean against the back of her couch. Tears form in both of their eyes.

"Ahh!' Faye groans out at the intense feeling. "My head!"

"Mine too!" Laney groans out. "Ugh!"

Laney holds her daughter closely, Faye's head against her chest as she soothes her. Laney hums a lullaby she used to sing a lot back in the day as she soothes her daughter.
