Chapter 5

~~Kazuto's POV~~

          I hear snoring. I looked down to look at Shino in my arms and her eyes were closed. She was sleeping. I held on to her for a while more. It made my heart race.

I should put her in bed.

          I carried Shino to her bed and tucked her in.

          I went around her house to find a blanket. There was a cabinet with 3 drawers. I opened the first drawer. There were a bunch of random papers and some stationery with a couple other stuff. I pulled the second drawer open and it was... PANTIES!

Ah, I shouldn't be seeing this! But... I wonder what Shino would look like in these pink striped panties... WAIT, what am I thinking about???!!!

          My face turned red with embarrassment and I slowly closed the drawer. I then opened the third drawer to find nothing. I opened some other drawers and eventually found a blanket.

          I turned off the lights and crawled my way to the sofa. I didn't want to fall down again, because my head still hurts. I slowly made my way to the sofa and laid there. I closed my eyes but I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about Asuna. I felt sad again. I hugged the pillow that was on the sofa and plowed my face into it. The pillow smelled of flowers. The pillow started getting filled with my tears. I couldn't hold them in. Shino might be here to support me, but it's still so sudden.

          After a long time, I cried myself to sleep.

~~The next day~~

~~Shino's POV~~

          I woke up early in the morning. The room was quiet and the sun was up. The room was lit up with a single light source, the sun. The light from the sun shined through the window to reveal the room. The brightest part of the room focused on Kazuto's face. His face was being suffocated with the light shining on it.

          I walk to the window and stare outside. I look back to look at Kazuto. He was holding his pillow like he was protecting it. I check my phone and check for any messages. I usually never get any messages but to my surprise, I got one. The text was from Asuna. It read:

Asuna: Hey Shino, wanna hangout today?

          I hesitated to reply. I didn't know what to do. I felt a little anger towards Asuna for dumping Kazuto like that. But I also wanted to know more about that guy she was with and maybe ask why she broke up with Kazuto.

          After 3 minutes, I chose to go hang out with Asuna. I might be able to get some answers from going out with Asuna and having some fun,

Shino: Sure, what time should we meet? And where should we meet?

Asuna: We can meet up in 20 minutes at the convenience store next to your house. After that, we can walk to a nearby cafe that I found. Sound good?

Shino: Sure, see you.

Asuna: See you!

"Mmmmmm"

          I looked behind me and Kazuto woke up, stretching his arms high into the air.

"Morning, Shino!"

"Morning."

          He rubbed his eyes and stood up. He walked up to me.

"Thanks for everything Shino. I'm going to go now, I need to check if Suguha is okay."

"Oh, okay."

          He gave me a hug. I was surprised and I froze for a second. I hugged him back and he went into the bathroom to change into his clothes that dried up during the night. He handed me the clothes I lent to him.

"Bye, Shino!"

"Bye."

          He opened the door and closed it. I heard his footsteps getting softer and softer every step he took towards the stairs to the exit.

          After Kazuto left, I started getting ready to go meet Asuna at the convenience store next to my house. I wore a grey shirt and jeans. I put on a black hat and a jacket and went over to the door and opened it. I peeked out to see if Asuna was there or not.
