Chapter 20

~~Shino's POV~~

          Keiko walked out of the arcade.

          I looked over at Kazuto. He was looking down at the table. He looked quite gloomy.

          I tried to change the subject and talk about something else.

"So, Kazuto, what do you want to do after we finish eating?"

          He lifted his head.

"Wanna go to the park?"

"Sure."

          After that, we kept on talking for over an hour. He didn't look so sad anymore.

          Kazuto smiled.

I wish I could see that smile everyday... Ehhhh, why did I just think that?

          I didn't think so much about it after that.

          After eating, we went to the park.

          While we were on the road, walking to the park, we didn't really talk to each other. I kept looking away from him because I felt embarrassed when he looked at me.

          Suddenly, my hand became warm. I was surprised and when I looked at what was the warmth touching my hand, I saw Kazuto holding my hand.

"E-eh, K-Kazuto! W-w-what a-are you d-doing???"

          He looked at me and I looked away.

"Hmm... Well... cause I wanted to."

Eh

Ehh

EHHH!!!

What did he just say? He wanted to hold my hand?

          I didn't let go. I was happy but the event happened so suddenly, I didn't know what to say.

          We kept walking until we reached the park.

I should try to start up a conversation.

"Hey Ka-"

          He looked at me. He looks different. He used to look like a normal boy. But when I started getting this weird feeling inside of me, he looked... handsome?

"Shino!"

          I came back to my senses.

"Ye-yea?"

"What were you about to say?"

"N-nothing."

          He tilted his head, showing a confused face.

"Shino,would you like a drink?"

"A-ah, yes please."

          Kazuto went to a vending machine. Next to it was a bench and I sat on it.

"Shino! What do you want!"

"Cola please!"

          Hearing his voice comforted me.

Am I in love with Kazuto...?

          Kazuto came back with 2 cola's and handed one to me. After that, he took a seat next to me.

          We both sat there. In the park, under the night sky. We spent the whole day playing at the arcade with a lot of people there. And now, we're alone, together, at a park. The lake was reflecting the light from the moon. The trees were moving because of the light breeze. The moon was so clear. Nothing blocking it.

"Shino."

"Yea?"

"I wanna tell you something."

"Oh, what is it?"

"I actually... like yo-"

*bzzt* *bzzt*

          He got a phone call.

          What was he about to say?

"What?! Hey! Explain what's happening!"

*beep* *beep*

"Ah! She hung up!"

          He looked really angry. His eyes were wide open. Something must have happened.

"Sorry Shiro, I have to go back home right now. There's an emergency."

"Oh o-"

          Before I finished what I was saying, Kazuto kissed me on the cheek and ran off.

I must be blushing so hard right now.

          My face was as red as an apple.
