When You Called Me Over That Day (Kirito x Sinon)

Chapter 3

~~Shino's POV~~

          Kazuto slowly opened the door. He poked his head out half way and looked at me for a few seconds. He went back in and he opened the door. He walked out into the room I was in. And my jaw dropped after seeing him.

          Kazuto was looking down. The shirt was big and was a few inches away from his knees. The shorts I gave him was really big for me, but when Kazuto wore it, it could hardly be seen because of the shirt. He looked up slightly, his face as red as a tomato. He looked like a kid.

"Aww, you look cute."

Ah I just said that out loud! My mind spoke out. Hopefully he didn't hear me or doesn't think I'm weird...

"Uhh, thanks..."

Ah, he heard me!

          I turned around facing my back to him to hide my red, embarrassed face and walked to the sofa to sit down. Kazuto made his way to the sofa and sat down next to me.

"Thanks Shino. For giving me something to wear."

"N-no problem. I don't wear those a lot anyway."

          We looked away from each other and awkward silence took over the room. I was blushing like crazy.

          After about 30 seconds, I broke the silence.

"You want to talk about what happened with you and Asuna? You don't have to if you don't."

"Sure, I'll tell you."

          Kazuto told me the whole story from when Asuna went to his house to how he broke his phone and why he was late. He started to look down again and his eyes gave off a sad feeling that spread to me. I started to feel sad because he was sad.

          I told him it will all be alright. He gave a big smile.

"You always know what to say, thanks a lot."

          I gave a smile and we started to talk about the next Bullet of Bullets tournament.

~~Kazuto's POV~~

          Me and Shino talked about Bullet of Bullets for an hour. Everything felt fine. The rain didn't stop though. I went outside to see if I could walk home but the rain was too heavy and it was hard to see. I could get in an accident easily.

          I looked outside for a while after we finished eating the chips we were eating. It was getting darker as the night started and the moon took over the sky alongside the stars.

          Shino came outside and stood next to me. She slowly came closer to me and laid her head on my shoulder. I froze for a second.

"Um... Shino..."

"Yea?"

"Nevermind"

          She sounded like doing this was normal but... this was the first time she ever did this.

          I couldn't see her face. She was looking away from me. I felt a little uncomfortable but I just stood still and looked out into the sky. I wondered if the rain would stop before 10pm but it didn't look like it would.

~~Shino's POV~~

Oh gosh, why did I do that? Why did my head fall on his shoulder? What am I thinking? He must think I'm weird. I should stop.

          I took my red face off him and looked at Kazuto. He was looking in the sky. I looked up too and thought of the rain and how because of it, I got to spend more time with him. The rain kept pouring. I couldn't see the end of the road.

"Hey, Kazuto."

"You're staying tonight, OK?"

"Huh? It's OK, I don't want to bother you. I can just run in the rai-"

          I grab his hand.

"No! What if you get hurt?! Your phone is broken and you can't call for help. I don't want you to get hurt anymore. And I don't mind you staying over. I get kinda lonely sometimes..."

          I didn't know why I said that last part, but I didn't regret it. I was the truth and I also get to spend more time with Kazuto.

          I looked away from him, letting go of his hand.

"Alright, I'll stay over tonight. Thanks for caring about me, Shino,"

          I started to blush really hard and I walked to the door.

"No problem, Kazuto."

          I proceeded to open the door and walk in, waiting for Kazuto to come back in.
