When You Called Me Over That Day (Kirito x Sinon)

Chapter 30

~~Kazuto's POV~~

          I ran away with Shino. I had no idea where to go. I just kept running. I was heading to the opposite direction of where my house was. I thought about what has been happening lately, and I can't let anyone die. I pull out my phone and text Suguha.

Kazuto: Suguha, I won't be home for a while. I have to do something important. I'm not sure when I'm coming back. It could be a week. It could be a month. It could be a year. So please, take care. Stay with someone else. Try staying with Keiko. She probably would let you stay. Don't stay near the house. It's dangerous. I will explain everything when I see you next time.

          I sent the text. I looked back at Shino. Shino looked tired but I couldn't take the chance to take a break. Asuna could pop out from anywhere, she can easily hire people to find us.

"Kazuto! Where are we going?"

"I'm not sure, but we can't go back anymore."

          Shino kept quiet after that. I could hear her breath heavier and heavier every 5 seconds. I started to get tired and my legs started to ache.

          I stopped out of tiredness. We stopped in front of a convenience store.

We should get some food right?

"Shino, are you okay?"

"Y-yea. I-I'm fine."

"Let's go buy some food. It might take a while to find a place that would be clear of Asuna."

"K."

          We walked into the cold convenience store and split up. I went to get some cheap cup noodles and 8 bottles of water. I went to the counter and paid for everything.

          After I paid for everything, I went around the store looking for Shino. I went around and around the store a few times but I didn't see her. I ran outside to see if she was there but she wasn't anywhere to be found. I went up to the girl at the counter and asked her:

"Excuse me, have you seen a girl with black hair and wearing glasses a few minutes ago?"

"Oh, I think I saw her at the back of the store but she was following another guy out of the store. She turned right out of the store and disappeared from my sight."

"Do you know what the person that took her away looked like?"

"Hmm... He was wearing a suit and glasses. He had a walkie-talkie and... oh! He was really tall."

"Okay, thanks!"

"No problem."

          I walked out of the store and turned right and followed the path.

Where could she be?
