Chapter 32

~~Shino's POV~~

          Darkness.

Where am I?

          There was a light bulb hanging above my head. It flickered. The darkness in front of me swung in and out as the light bulb went on and off. With the darkness in front of me, I couldn't tell how big the room was or what was in it. The place was loud with silence. The room was hot and it made me sweat a lot.

          I was tied to a chair. My mouth was covered by a cloth. My clothes were soaked in my sweat from the heat.

          I tried untying myself. Thankfully the rope wasn't tied well and I easily got out.

          I stood up from the chair and slowly walked to the front of where I was. I crouched down and made my way into the darkness with my hands heading in first. I took a few steps to find something smooth. It assumed that it was a wall and walked to the left. I didn't feel anything for a long time but I eventually found a corner of the room.

          I looked back at the chair where I sat, it was far away now. I could barely see it but I didn't really care.

          I kept walking from the corner and made it to another corner. After that, I kept walking from the corner again and I felt something different about the wall. There was a strip that was missing. I moved my finger upwards through it. It kept going until I was standing. I couldn't reach where it went so I felt around the little hollow strip.

          After a bit of searching, I found a door knob. I tried opening it but it was locked.

"Ah! I can't see anything!"

          I felt around the door to find a light switch and eventually, I did. I flicked the switch on and light filled the darkness.

          I looked around the room. It was a plain room with the chair in the middle and some boxes on the side of the wall I didn't touch. The walls were white and there was a curtain that was hung up on the wall I didn't go to. I opened it to reveal more light into the room. There wasn't a lock on the window.

          I tried the door again to see if it would open but it didn't budge.

          I went over to the chair and pulled it over to the window. With all my strength, I threw the chair at the window and it broke. I escaped without a scratch. I jumped down and looked around my surroundings.

"Eh? A garden?"
