Chapter 27

~~Shino's POV~~

          A few classes finished and it was lunch time. I sat next to Kazuto. He took out his lunch and I took out mine. He was looking around the class. I followed his eyes, looking at where he was looking. He looked at Asuna and she called him over. I didn't follow. I just sat there waiting for Kazuto to come back. The classroom was noisy, people running around. My vision of Kazuto was blocked a few times by the running students.

When will he come back?

~~Kazuto's POV~~

          I walked over to Asuna. She showed a happy face but I could tell it was a forced smile that she was showing.

"What do you want, Asuna?"

"Aww. Don't be like that to your girlfriend."

*sigh*

"What do you need my beautiful girlfriend?"

"Much better."

          I turned my eyes away from her, looking back at Shino.

"Kazuto!"

"Yes?"

"Stop looking at her!"

"Who?"

"Shino!"

"Hmm, I'm not looking at her."

          I look back at her. She looked angry now.

"Anyway, Asuna, what did you need?"

          She started putting on that fake smile again.

"Just wanted to tell you that if you ever do anything with Shino, holding hands, hug or whatever, I will have to do something I don't want to do."

          She pulled out a utility knife from under her desk. I suddenly start sweating like crazy.

She wants to... stab... Shino?

          I tried to hide my scared face.

"Oh, is that all? Well don't worry about it, everything is fine."

"Well, if you say so. You can go back now. And let's walk home together."

           I nod my head and walk back to where Shino was.

Oh no, what am I going to do? I can't believe Asuna would go that far.

          I started to panic. Thinking about what to do, I came up with a plan. It was a very bad plan but it was all I had in my mind. I sat back at my place and looked down.

"Hey Kazuto, are you okay? You're sweating a lot."

"Shino."

"Yes?"

          I looked into her sparkling eyes, waiting for what I was about to say.

"Would you... run away with me?"
