Chapter 39

~~Kazuto's POV~~

          The bright sky outside was blocked by the curtains. The little light that came through into the room when we opened the door showed all the dust flying around. Shino started coughing.

"Are you okay?"

"Yea, it's just a little too dusty in here."

"Yea."

          I looked around the room filled with trash. I looked down on the floor to see a liquid. It was red in colour and smelled terrible. The stench was the red liquid and some of the other fluids coming out from bottles that were dropped to their side. I started looking through some of the garbage next to the door and Shino did the same. I picked up a packet of chips with nothing inside, then a bottle that had spilled it's liquid all over the floor. As I kept digging more into the room, I suddenly heard a scream.

"AH!"

          I looked at Shino. She was staring down at something but my vision was blocked because something was blocking it. I slowly walked to Shino.

*tmp* *tmp* *tmp*

"Ehh..."

          I froze in shock.

"Why... is he here?"

          Right in front of us, we could see a dead body.

"The body was well hidden underneath all the garbage."

"That solves where the terrible stench was coming from."

          The dead man had black, spiky hair. He was wearing a red shirt with an anime character on it. His shirt was matched with some jeans and he had leather boots. He had golden earrings and next to him was a hat.

          He was surrounded by the blood from his stomach. I assumed that a knife was used to do this but I couldn't tell. It looked like someone had sliced open his stomach, leaving little skin holding his body together. His organs were slipping out a bit. Ants had also surrounded the blood that had surrounded him.

          I looked at his pocket and saw a rectangular item inside. I reached in carefully to not get blood on me and grabbed the rectangular object.

"A phone..."

          I tried turning on the phone and light shined into my eyes. The top right corner showed me that the phone had 76 percent of battery left. I swiped up to try to get into the home screen.

"Shoot, it has a password."

Eh, what's with this wallpaper?

          The wallpaper had the man and a girl next to him. The picture was blurry except for the two people in it. But at the back of the picture, there is something else that is not blurry. From what phone he was using, I could tell that it would only blur out the background and not other peoples faces if you use it wrongly, and clearly this guy didn't know how to use it. At the bottom left corner, I could see someone. Her face, clear as day.

"Asuna..."
