Chapter 33

~~Shino's POV~~

          I walked through the garden. The grass was green and there was a fountain. Benches surrounded the fountain and a pathway wrapped around it. The path split to 3 different ways. The paths were surrounded by trees and it was too thick to see what was on the other side. I turn back to look at the building. I haven't seen it before. I looked to be 3 floors tall. I walked down the path in the middle.

"I need to find Kazuto"

          I ran for a long time. The path kept getting darker and darker, the trees blocking the sun. I make it to a dead end.

          I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around to find Asuna. She was looking at the floor, hiding her face.

"A-Asuna..."

"..."

          Silence.

          The wind started to skate the branches of the trees and leaves started to fall. It kept getting darker.

          Asuna had one of her hands behind her back. Her hair was flowing with the wind. She was shaking. I could hear soft whispers. She is talking to herself. I couldn't hear what she was saying and I wanted to know but I was too scared to ask. I was scared and confused. I had nowhere to go. The bushes were so thick and tall that I couldn't run anywhere and it was thorny too. I didn't move. I felt that if I moved and came closer to her, she would do something. All I could do was ask her what's happening and if she was okay, but I didn't have the courage to do it. I don't hate her, she's my friend but I'm scared to talk to her. I don't know what she did to Kazuto but he doesn't feel the same. He didn't look happy when they got back together but Asuna was happy. So what really happened?

"I can do it. I can do it. I can do it."

          She started getting louder. I could hear her words.

          Suddenly, she looked up at me with eyes filled with emotions I couldn't understand. It was a mixture of kindness, regret and anger.

          She leaped forward and started running at me. Her hand that was behind her revealed a knife.

A... knife...?
