Chapter 28

~~Shino's POV~~

What did he just... say?

          He stared into my eyes. His eyes looked desperate and his face showed that he was in a hurry. I didn't know what to say. What did he mean? Run away? Where?

Wait... Why am I hesitating? This is a chance.

"Of course! I'll follow you till the end of time."

          Kazuto's face turned red. I gave him a wide smile.

"When shall we leave?"

"Hmm... In 5 minutes."

"What?!"

"Look, I'll tell you everything later. Get your stuff and let's go."

          I was hesitant to go but I always trusted Kazuto. He never let me down.

Everything's going to be fine.

          I grab my lunch and chuck it into the bag. I slid some books into the bag and zipped it up. I went over to Kazuto.

"Can we go now, Kazuto?"

"Wait, we can't let Asuna see us. Don't worry, she's almost done with her lunch and then she will go to the bathroom."

"Huh? How do you know that?"

"Don't ask. I dated her for 4 years. I know."

          I didn't question him anymore.

          We waited for a while.

          Asuna finally walked out of the room. I ran for the door but when I looked back, Kazuto wasn't behind me.

"Shino! Over here!"

          He was at the window. He opened it and jumped out.

"Shino!!! Jump down!!! I'll catch you!!!"

          I looked out the window. Our class was on the second floor.

How did he jump down?

          I didn't want to do it. I was too scared. My legs were shaking. My mind went blank. But then I realised something.

Wait, I trust Kazuto. He'll catch me. It's my chance, can't let it go to waste.

          I looked around the class, looking at the students.

Nice, nobody's looking.

          I jumped out. The air flowing through my hair. I wasn't so scared anymore. Kazuto was there.

Nothing can go wrong. I believe in him.
