"taehyung? what's wrong?" yoongi sits up from his seat, approaching a soaked taehyung— he's crying?
the younger sniffles, breaking into a sob. "where's jeongguk?" yoongi helps taehyung out of his shoes, taking off the wet hoodie and grabbing the small blanket that lays over one of the couches, and drapes it over taehyung.
but taehyung doesn't answer him, he continues to cry into yoongi's shoulder. "i don't want to see him yoongi hyung," he sobs, letting yoongi comfort him with small back rubs.
jimin wakes up just then, walking towards the living room to where yoongi was at. he had taken a nap on yoongi's bed, and seeing that it was now empty, he wants nothing more than to cuddle. but he stops in his tracks when he sees taehyung and yoongi in each other's arms. he knows he shouldn't feel what he's feeling in his chest, it didn't make sense to. but it didn't stop the eruption of jealousy from surging. jimin backs up and walks back into the room, shutting the door behind him quietly.
"he's here," taehyung scrambles up from the seat as soon as he hears footsteps outside on the house deck.
"tae, calm down ok? i'm sure he can explain," yoongi tries to comfort him, but taehyung shakes his head, already walking towards his borrowed room, "it better be a good explanation hyung."
just as taehyung closes the door and locks it, jeongguk steps inside the house, throwing the bags and umbrella on the floor, desperate to reach taehyung. "is he home?" jeongguk tries waking past yoongi, but the older grabs his shirt and pulls him back.
"i think you should wait till tomorrow. whatever you did jeon, better be fucking explainable," yoongi warns, eyes glaring at the younger.
jeongguk pushes yoongi's hand off of him, "i need to talk to him, before he starts overthinking."
yoongi can't argue with that, but he doesn't want to betray taehyung's wish. he frowns, "ok. ok, but if he says no, you'll respect that, got it?"
"yes, i promise."
with that, jeongguk goes into the hallway and knocks on taehyung's door, "tae? can you let me in please?"
there's no answer, jeongguk tries again, "whatever you heard isn't true. just please let me explain, i don't want you to hurt over me. please tae, if you don't believe me i'll leave you alone but-"
the door opens, and he's pulled inside. "you have three minutes, starting now."
jeongguk lets out a sigh of relief, "ok. listen, i don't know what you heard. . . but none of it was true ok?"
"you thought it was funny that eundong would've loved bashing my brains in," taehyung spits, swallowing the lump that builds in his throat. he can never argue without crying.
jeongguk closes his eyes, "no, no, tae, that's not true. i just- i don't know. i don't know why i care so much about what they think of me. listen, i would never let them touch you."
"you didn't stop them last time, you even joined them."
"i was stupid! i was angry with you for lying and with myself, i've been trying to not follow my sisters steps that i was blinded by hatred. taehyung-ah, i don't want to lose you again. i don't want you to be mad at me," jeongguk takes taehyung's hands in his own, bringing him closer.
taehyung looks down at the ground, "i'm not someone you can throw away when your friends come around jeongguk. i refuse to be your secret again, i'm not lowering myself like that ever again."
jeongguk lifts his chin up, forcing him to look at him in the eyes. he pulls him into his arms, hugging him tight, "that's the last thing i wanna do to you."
taehyung wraps his arms around jeongguk's waist, "i'm sorry. i should've known."
"no, don't apologize. you have every right to doubt. i'm the one who's sorry," jeongguk kisses the top of taehyung's head, pulling away from the hug and cupping his face, "can i?"
taehyung goes weak in the knees as he nods, closing his eyes as soon as jeongguk's face is only millimeters away and then their lips meet in a peaceful dance. taehyung's lips are always so soft and pillowy, jeongguk loves kissing them. the younger's hands grip on taehyung's hips, bringing him close once again.
"i don't want them to hurt you, please try to avoid them," jeongguk says mid kiss, quickly going back at it, peppering kisses all over taehyung's face.
"i will," taehyung replies, holding onto jeongguk, never wanting to let go.
with a content smile, jeongguk pulls away, "i got the pajamas you dropped."

in the living room, jimin approaches yoongi cautiously, looking at his tense body. jimin bites his lip, sitting down next to him, legs up to his chest as he stares ahead. "is tae ok?"
yoongi clears his throat, "yeah. just a small misunderstanding i think."
the male hums in response, not sure what exactly he wanted to ask. if there was even a point in asking, simply wondering. "do you. . . do you like taehyung?"
"of course i do jimin," yoongi replies, oblivious to the way his response affects jimin.
the younger looks away, frowning as he tries to push back his tears. "you should've told me that before i slept with you," jimin tries so hard to keep his voice stable, but it gives out and it comes out shaky.
yoongi finally realizes what's going on, and he laughs, though it's a mistake because jimin stands up abruptly, ready to leave. "hey, hey, jimin," yoongi grabs his arm and forces him down on his lap.
"you don't change yoongi," jimin tries to get back up, but yoongi closes his arms around him, preventing him from doing so.
yoongi hugs him, laughing at jimin's silliness. "stop being insecure jiminie, i like taehyung like a brother. you know i only have eyes for you," yoongi pecks jimin on the cheek, nuzzling his nose against his plush cheek.
jimin feels stupid. like, incredibly stupid and embarrassed. he hides his face in yoongi's neck, "i hate you."
