"Then move your fucking ass and get your man! Stop being a coward and stand tall! Lumaban ka!"
Umiwas ako ng tingin.
"You know, I don't give a shit about you and your family but because it's Kirion, I will. Whatever happened between you and your family, don't let them fucking trample on you. You aren't a fucking trampoline. I guess it didn't end right, especially with your sister?"
Napatingin ako sa kaniya. Nakakunot ang noo. "Pa'no mo nalaman?"
Nakita ko siyang napabuntong-hininga. "Kirion's been babbling about it. He said that something happened between you two that made you leave him. Drunk people really aren't my thing," inis na sabi niya bago inayos ang bangs niya. "Damn, my bangs are stressed from all that shout."
Hindi ko alam kung gusto ko bang matawa o mainis sa biglang pag-iba niya ng ugali. Parang kanina lang gusto niya akong patayin. Lumingon siya sa'kin.
"You're letting him stop seeing you because of your mental health, right?" umayos siya ng tayo.
"Oo," sabi ko.
"I know it's a very sensitive topic and I also got my fair share with damn depression and anxiety. I also knew someone who got through that stage and it was really not a nice scene," nakita ko ang pag-iba ng emosyon ng mukha niya. Kaibigan niya ba? "But they did it. I'm not saying that it's easy but I know you'll get through it too."
Natigilan ako sa pagtitig niya sa'kin.
"Thanks," napayuko ako. Umiwas siya ng tingin.
"You kids are a damn piece of work. I feel to old for this. Sorry for cursing you a lot earlier, I just really need to let out some steam. Kirion's very precious to me. I can't leave him like that," napalingon ako sa kaniya habang nagsasalita siya.
Bumaling naman siya sa'kin at nakita ko ang pag-ngiti niya na parang hindi kami nagkasigawan kanina.
"May nangyari ba kay Lezus?" naiilang tanong ko.
"Bakit?"
"Ang protective mo kasi masyado sa kaniya."
Nakita ko ang pagiging malumanay ng mga mata niya. Umiling siya.
"Nothing. Don't mind me and let's go," bigla niyang kinuha ang kamay ko at hinila ako.
"T-Teka—sa'n tayo pupunta?" naguguluhang tanong ko.
"Of course to Kirion, you dummy," sarkastikong sabi niya.
