I jolted awake when the car came to a stop the engine of the car was cut off. I blinked a few times against the bright sunlight in the sky and sat up straight. "Sleeping beauty is awake!" Ironhide mocked making me glare at him. "Come on Enderman," I said, picking him up and hopped out, holding my backpack and Enderman. The cat jumped out of my arms on the muddy floor and stretched himself before he curiously looked around. I threw the backpack over my shoulder and checked my surroundings.
In the middle was a large white wooden house with a beautiful porch. It was surrounded by fences, some horses here and there. In the back, I saw the red and white barn, a typical American barn. In the distance, I saw some woods and I realized that all this till the woods were from my uncle. It's much bigger than where I came from. I turned my head, seeing chickens and even two pigs walking around the area, behind a fence of course. "It's large," I admitted, looking at my uncle. "Yup... and we can use Enderman, mouses keep bothering us and steal the food of the chickens," he said with a soft sigh and rubbed his forehead.
Ironhide hopped in his car again and drove deeper into the property, heading towards the barn. "What's he gonna do?" I asked, watching the large black pick up truck disappear in the barn. "Parking his car there, he doesn't like rain," he replied. I hummed and thought about it, it was kinda strange tho. Something was off about him, he had something mysterious and I couldn't tell what it was. "Come, then I'll introduce you to Sarah my wife and my daughter Annabel," he said. I gave a small nod and followed him, Enderman saw a mouse and sprinted after the small animal. I didn't really mind, he'll return eventually.
I was greeted by a blonde woman, around her early 30 with long wavy blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She was tall and had a slim posture. "Nice to meet you after all those years, Skylar," she said, giving me a short hug. I had seen her on a photo, and once again, I had been here once when I was two years old. I didn't remember it and I wondered why they never visited us or why my dad never visited them. "Come on in," she said. I gave a smile and walked inside, looking around. Of course, everything was made out wood, but it wasn't that old-style like I expected it to be. The house looked pretty old from the outside, even the barn and fences looked new.
The living room had a large gray couch, with a TV in front of it. A small girl, around the age of 5 I think was sitting there, watching TV, some sort of program I had never seen before. Mostly since I had never watched TV, one of our TV broke years ago and my parents couldn't afford a new one and two even if they had a TV they didn't want me to watch. The only reason I had a phone is that the screen of my dad's phone was broken and he got a new one from his work. He gave me his old cracky phone, but hey! I am not complaining about it. I had something and could... almost do everything on it what I wanted. Except for the fact that I could read the messages clear or anything in general.
"Annabel, this is Skylar... your 17-year-old niece," Sarah said. The small kid jumped off the couch, her eyes were twinkling with excitement while she jumped towards me, hugging me. Don't get me wrong, I like kids at some point, but I am not used to them and having a small toddler walking around, was gonna be hard for me. "H-hi," I awkwardly greeted. The toddler looked at me with big blue eyes. She was just like her mother, except the fact, her hair reached her shoulders and she was small.
"You live here now?" she asked. "Uhm... yeah sorta," I replied, brushing some hair behind my ear. "Daddy!" she shouted happily, jumping in my uncle's arm. "Hey my lady!" he said, picking her up and hugged her. Ironhide marched in a few moments later, what he was doing here or how he was related to them? no idea.
Annabel squealed in happiness when she saw him and wiggled herself free from her father, running over to Ironhide who picked her up. "Hi, kiddo! How are you doing?" he asked, holding her on his hip. "I am doing good! Where were you yesterday?" she asked, smiling at him. "Trouble with my student," he nonchalantly replied. "Swipey is a bad Autobot!" she giggled. I frowned. I have no idea where she's talking about, probably a nickname, but still, I didn't know where she was talking about. "Yes... he was a really bad mech," he grunted, rolling his blue eyes. Now it was darker, I noticed his eyes were glowing a bit.
