It had been five days after Dreadbolt's death, and I am still avoiding Sunstreaker. I wasn't sure if he wanted to talk to me or not, but to be honest. I don't care what he thinks or what he wants to say. My face was healing, in fact, it was almost healed thanks to the energon in my body. Maybe being a hybrid isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
"Skylar?" I turned around as Sideswipe walked into my room. "Hey, Sides..." I greeted. He flashed me a smile and flopped on my bed. "Sunstreaker is asking for you... he says it's important, but you are avoiding him," Sideswipe said. I sighed, sitting down next to him. "We had an argument... that's all, Sideswipe," I said. "Can't you make it up to him? He is asking me non stop where you are," Sideswipe grumbled. I chuckled and wrapped my arm around his neck.
"Please?"
I sighed softly "Alright... I will talk to him..." I said. "Great! You would really do me a favor... are you sure you don't know what's on his mind?" Sideswipe asked. "I wish I knew..." I grumbled. "Okay... can we meet up when I am done with my patrol?" he asked. I nodded "Maybe we can go into town! Watch a movie tonight and order pizza!" he said, smirking. "Sure..."
Sideswipe kissed my cheek "See you in about two or three hours... depends on how busy the roads are," he said before he left and closed the doors. I grabbed my shoes, putting them on before I left and searched for Sunstreaker. I caught him in the corridors, his holoform was talking to Ironhide.
I came to a stop, crossing my arms, and waited for him to be done. As he saw me, he cut off his conversation and walked up to me. "You came?" he asked. "What is you want, Sunstreaker?" I snapped. He grabbed my arm and dragged me with him to a meeting room, locking the door. "Look... I know you think I work with the Decepticons, but that's not true," he said. I huffed "Well then explain to me what Dreadbolt meant by what he was saying to you? About Starscream!" I snapped.
"My father is a liar! You know that because I told you and you have seen it yourself! You don't really think I work for my enemy! The once that started the war and destroyed our home planet!" he said. "I don't know what to think, Sunstreaker! You made me lie too..." I said. "You are a liar too, Sunstreaker," I said. "No! am not... I am trying to protect my brother!" he said. "And yourself... mostly yourself! You are afraid Sideswipe going to judge you and tells you he doesn't want to talk to you anymore and you're afraid Optimus is going to send you away from earth!" "Then why did you lie for me! You could've told them the truth... you're the only one that knows the truth! So you tell me why you are laying to people as well!" he snarled, jabbing his finger in my chest.
"Well? Why did you lie?" he snarled. I glared at him but said nothing. "Exactly... you don't want them to know the truth either... but what is in it for you?"
"Oh stop it, Sunstreaker..." I snapped. "You are telling me to tell them the truth about what happened that day back on Cybertron when I was about to kill my father... you know everything that happened that day... and you are not telling them the truth either... why?" he asked, his piercing blue eyes drilled straight through my soul. "Are you afraid to lose me? Are you afraid of what will happen to me?" he asked. "Why would I be afraid of what will happen to you? I don't give a fuck about that!" I snapped. "You do! Otherwise, I dare you to go to the main hanger and tell everyone the damn truth! I mean that's what you want right? You want them to know the truth... well go ahead... tell them the truth..." he snapped, pointing at the door.
"bastard!"
"I won't stop you if you want to tell them the truth..." he said, stepping away from the door. "My father is a liar... okay! He was just trying to mock me off... to make you hesitate... okay! Nothing more... I need you to trust me..." he said as he approached. "Can you trust me?" he asked. I bit my lip "I promise you... my father wasn't telling the truth..." he said. I froze as I felt him wrap his arms around my waist, pulling me a little bit closer.
"You are dragging me into something... I don't want to be a part of, Sunstreaker," I said. "You wanted to know the truth... and I told you the truth..." he said. He brushed some blonde locks from my face. "Trust me... please, you asked me to trust you... and now I need you to trust me... okay?" he asked. "Alright..."
Sunstreaker pressed a kiss on my forehead before he let go of my waist. "I don't like it if you ignore and avoid me..." he added. "You could've talked to me instead..." he said. "I was pissed... I didn't want to talk or see you..." I snapped. "Are you still mad?" he asked, lifting my chin with his finger so I looked at him. "Just a little bit..."
"why?" he asked, smirking a little. "for being an asshole," I sulked. The smirk grew wider "No... because you don't want me to get into trouble... that's also why you keep my secret," he said. "Be happy I am good friend, Sunstreaker..." I grunted. "friend, huh?" he said while crossing his arms. "don't give me that arrogant look, Sunstreaker..." I grunted. "I have better things to do instead of talking to you right now!" I grunted, turning towards the door. "Of course you do!" he mocked. I huffed and left, slamming the door closed. "Mechs..." I grumbled before stumbling over to my room.
I watched the time pass, and the evening started to fall, but Sideswipe didn't return. Maybe Optimus gave him an extra chore or something. I laid my book down on my stomach, staring at the ceiling. I didn't want to read anymore, I wanted to hang out with Sideswipe and start our movie night. I grabbed my phone, checking if he had texted me, but he hadn't. Maybe he's just busy, I sometimes forgot he's an alien, fighting in a war against Decepticons.
The door burst open, making me jolt and sit up straight. Sunstreaker had a very panicked face, something I had never seen on him before. "What's wrong, Sunstreaker? You scared the hell out of me with walking into my room like that," I said.
"It's Sideswipe, Skylar... he went missing!"
