18. unexpected visitor

I woke up from someone touching me. As I opened my eyes, I stared in two icy blue eyes. "We have to leave," Sunstreaker said. I blinked the sleep from my eyes and sat up straight, my ribs aching a little from leaning on the armrest. Sunstreaker's holoform got up from his crouching position in front of me. "Sleeping beauty is awake!" Sideswipe teased. "Ah, you're acting normal again," I mocked, getting up. "Don't forget your rodent," Sunstreaker said, pointing at Enderman licking his chest on the metal table. "My brother told me he had found him... and what happened between you and your uncle Stanley," Sideswipe said as I hopped in with Enderman.

"I am sorry I wasn't there... I am mad at myself for not being able to protect you," Sideswipe said he slowly drove out of the garage. "It's not your fault..."

"I am your guardian! I should have been there," Sideswipe a little bit angry. I run my hand over his dashboard to calm him down. "You're a good guardian!" I said. He sighed "perhaps," was his sad reply. I started to feel bad "Sideswipe! You're too hard for yourself... you're blaming yourself for everything, stop that!" I strictly said. Sideswipe huffed "Ratchet will patch you up, and I am sure you will feel better after that," I said. "Probably, yes."

"We have to drive for a couple of hours, 3 hours at least," Sideswipe said. "My navigation systems are down, so we have to follow my twin, he knows the shortest route back to base. Ratchet and Jolt are there, the other Autobots are still in town to help survivors."

I nodded while leaning back in his leather seat, watching the small town fade away. "He said I am a monster... that I am a big mistake. Do you think he knows I am a hybrid?" I asked. "Maybe he does..." Sideswipe said slowly. I brushed it off "I don't wanna think about it,"

"Something is wrong with my tire,"

"I didn't attach it right?" I asked, flinching a little. "It feels like I am gonna lose it, I need to make a stop," Sideswipe stated. He pulled into a nearby gas station and hopped out, kneeling down next to his tire. "I can't see what's wrong," I said. "Let me have a look," Sunstreaker pushed me aside. "We don't have any equipment to get this done right if you drive slowly, do you think you can make it to the base?" Sunstreaker asked. "yes... but it's loose, I can lose my tire easily. As long as I don't have to race I think it's fine... my feet were a little bit damaged as well it's not completely Skylar's fault. I had to put my weight on it and damaged it," Sideswipe said. "Okay... we stay behind me," Sunstreaker said before his holoform disappeared again.

A little bit tensed I hopped back in his alt-mode, buckling up.

For two hours, I hoped he wouldn't lose his tire. Sideswipe drove slowly, some people honk their horns at the injured Corvette Stingray. "Sideswipe! Incoming!" I heard Sunstreaker hiss over the radio. I tensed, looking in the rear mirror, seeing a huge Texas Hydraulic Mining Excavator driving surprisingly fast. "S-sideswipe?"

"I know... I know, but I am losing my tire if I drive faster," he said. Sunstreaker kicked on his brakes and transformed. His long blades slipped into place. Demolisher behind us transformed as well. It's the biggest Cybertronian I have ever seen, even larger than Optimus Prime. Demolisher nearly crushed Sunstreaker. Sunstreaker stabbed his blade in Demolisher's frame. Sunstreaker was small in comparison with this Decepticon and I really admired his strength and courage.

"Who's that?"

"That's Demolisher... my rival," Sideswipe grunted. Sunstreaker had a hard time controlling Demolisher, the Decepticon was just too big for Sunstreaker alone to handle. "Damn it! My brother can't handle him on his own," Sideswipe grunted. "Sideswipe don't fight him! He's going to kill you!"

"He's coming closer... he's going to kill me if I do nothing," he said. "I rather have Bonecrusher," Sideswipe muttered. Demolisher threw Sunstreaker off his frame, sending him into the guardrail. "I need to help my brother!"
