"I can't leave this room!"
"Sure you can... you can't hide here forever!" Sideswipe said. "I look terrible..." I grumbled, sitting down on my bed. Sideswipe flopped next to me "Nothing will happen, Dreadbolt is locked up in the brig," he said. I rested my head on his shoulder "Where is Sunny?" I asked. "Clearing his mind... he needed a drive," he said. "Ah... did he say something to you?" I asked. "About what happened? Not really... he's just angry our father is beating you up now..." Sideswipe muttered.
"Did you talk with Sunstreaker about why he didn't kill his father when he had the change?" I asked. "No... he refuses to talk... Did he say something to you about it?" he asked. I shook my head "No..." I muttered. "Alright... well... we can better go, now there's still food in the cafeteria, no one will laugh at you... soldiers get beaten up so many times," he said. I sighed and got up, looking in the mirror. "Within two weeks you will see the bruises will fade and your pretty face will return! It's just a large bruise,"
"it's not about the bruise, Sideswipe... people will ask questions... I don't want them to ask about what happened, I don't want to talk about it," Sideswipe got up, pulling me in a hug. "You need to eat... I can't keep bringing you food," he said, taking my hand. I followed slowly, making sure my long dark blonde hair covered my face.
"How long will your father be locked up?" I asked. "Optimus said at least two weeks... maybe longer, maybe forever," Sideswipe replied. "When will Sunstreaker return? I need to ask him something," I muttered. "You can ask me..." he said, smirking. I shook my head "I need to ask Sunny..."
Sideswipe's smile faded "Something going between you two I should know about?" he asked. I turned my head "Sideswipe... we are just friends, besides he's an alien... he's an 80 ft tall Autobot... I am only 5'11 ft tall..." I huffed. "That's why holoforms are created... and mass displacement..." he said. "What point are you trying to make, Sideswipe?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders "Sunstreaker doesn't talk if he doesn't want to..." he replied shrugging his shoulders. I sighed and brushed it off while walking into the cafeteria.
"Sideswipe!"
we both looked up as Prowl approached us. "Optimus asked me to give you the morning patrol instead of the evening patrol, Jazz is delayed," he said. "Yeah... sure no problem..." he said. I gave Sideswipe a look "What?" he asked. "How do you feel?" Prowl asked as he studied my face. "I look like a scarecrow... but I am fine," I muttered, looking at Sideswipe. "Glad to hear..." he said before he turned around and left. "You're not going to leave me!" I said. "I have no choice... just eat something and I tell Sunstreaker you're all alone," he teased. I gave him a look. Sideswipe chuckled, kissed my right cheek softly before he left. "great..." I mocked.
I wasn't going to stay here on my own. So I turned around, exiting the cafeteria. Someone grabbed my hair and yanked me back. "Where are you going?" "Let me go, Sunstreaker!" I snapped. "Why are you in such a horrible mood today?" he asked. "You are hurting me..." He rolled his eyes but let go. "Or did you forget about the wound in my head?" I muttered as I softly touched. Sunstreaker ohh'ed and stepped next to me, having a look. "It's bleeding a little... sorry,"
"Weren't you on a drive?" I asked. "I returned..." he muttered. "I know... why?" I asked. "for you..." he said as he fiddled with my hair. I stepped back "You are in a good mood... never seen that before," I said. Sunstreaker shrugged his shoulders "I don't know... I woke up this morning I felt good!"
I studied him, never seen this side before. "You tried foundation?" he asked. I gave a small nod "come," Sunstreaker gestured to me to follow him. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Getting you some food..." he replied. I bit my lip, following him. I caught up with him. "The cafeteria is the other way," I said. "I know... I thought maybe I can take you somewhere," he said. I hummed "Sounds good to me..." I replied. I stiffened a little as he grasped my hand.
"I know a small lunchroom I came across a few days ago," he said. I smiled "And you want to take me? Even I look like a scarecrow?" I asked. "I owe you something... I owe you a lot," he said. "Why? I didn't do anything!" I mocked. "You defended me... how many people defended me? what do you think?" he asked. "Sideswipe... for sure," I said. "he's the only one... just a thank you..." he said. I hummed "Thanks for the friendly gesture then," I replied, smiling.
I hopped in his alt-mode and buckled up.
"Even your face is bruised... I still think you look beautiful..."
I looked at him, not sure how to react. Did he just give me a compliment?
"Uhm... thanks," I mumbled. Sunstreaker drove off without saying anything else. What on earth is going on with him? He hates humans, he doesn't give humans compliments.
Within 15 he parked and cut his engine.
"Are you coming?" he asked. I gave a brief nod and hopped out, following him to a small cozy lunchroom. "you made a reservation?" I asked. "What if I said no?" I asked. "I knew you wouldn't say no... not to me at least."
A smirk curled on his lips. He is making jokes, I would almost say he's flirting. "I am irresistible," he said, winking at me before he walked over to our table the lady just pointed at. Quickly I followed "Sunstreaker..." I sat down in front of him "You are acting... strange," I said. "Why? Because I took you to a lunchroom and teased you?" he asked, leaning back, his icy blue eyes never leaving my face. "Shall I say something even more shocking?" he asked. "Is that possible?" I replied mockingly. "I feel bad... for what my dad did to you."
My jaw almost dropped "Y-you what?"
"You heard me... I feel bad for what my father did to you," he repeated. "It's fine if he beats me up... but I don't want him to touch you! I don't want him to even look at you!"
"You never told me why you never told Prime or your brother the truth... you knew he was trading females and kids... why didn't you just say? You could've saved them if you did," I said. "because it's not that easy, Skylar... I am aware of that and I have to live with my decision... but there also other things... that played a role," he said. "Like what?"
Sunstreaker sighed, looking away. I grasped his hands "Please, Sunstreaker... tell me the truth," I whispered. "He has something... he can blackmail me." I sat up straight. "Blackmail you?" I asked. Sunstreaker nodded, looking down. "Promise to keep it a secret... I don't want people to know the truth!" he said. "Y-yeah... of course."
"Do you want to tell me what he has?" I asked. Sunstreaker looked away "I don't want to talk about it... it's too painful," he muttered. I got up and sat down next to me, turning his head towards me. His skin was soft, softer than I imagined. Especially since this is just a holoform. "Tell me... I promise this will stay between us... can you trust me?" I asked. Sunstreaker sighed, grasping my hand. "Swear you take this to your grave! My life is over if anyone knows about it... or at least people won't look the same at me ever again!"
"I promise... you can trust me," I whispered. "Good... because even Sideswipe doesn't know about the truth... about what happened that day," he said. "You have my word..." I declared. Sunstreaker sucked in a breath
"Alright, then I tell you the truth..."
