A bright light blinded me as I woke up. I groaned a little, turning on my side. "Skylar?" I perked my head up, slightly annoyed. I was immediately pulled in a tight hug. "Sideswipe..." I whimpered, wrapping my arms around his neck. Sideswipe straddled me, pushing me down. "I am glad you woke up," he said, nuzzling in my neck. I hummed, tightly holding my arms around his neck. I could feel him leave some kisses here and there. "How do you feel?" he asked, sitting up straight. "Better, once again no pain," I said.
"Ratchet gave you Energon to fasten your healing process, it worked. Your wounds are almost completely healed!" he said. I smiled, grabbing his hands. "Ironhide wasn't hard on you, right?" I asked. "What shall I say... he didn't beat me up," I said. I flashed him a weak smile, laying my hand on his cheek. "You're so sweet... thank you for saving me," I said. Sideswipe nodded "I deserved a kiss right? I saved your ass once again," he said. I nodded, pressing my lips softly on his.
"So, what going to happen now?" I asked as Sideswipe laid on top of me, burying his face in my neck. "I am not sure... it's chaos," he muttered. I ran my hands through his soft silky dark brown hair. "I love you, Sideswipe..." I whispered. I felt him smile and again, I felt a warm loving feeling spread through my body, this time I knew it was Sideswipe sharing his love and affection with me. "I love you too," he said.
"Sideswipe! Get off of her!" Ratchet growled as he walked in, holding a wrench. "Why? Why can't I keep laying like this?" he challenged. Ratchet's gaze hardened "Get off of her, right now!" he snapped, pointing the wrench at Sides. "But it's my femme..." he said cockily. Ratchet marched over to him, grabbing his ear and smacked his head with the wrench.
Sideswipe hissed and collapsed on the floor as Ratchet pulled him away from me. "Ow!" he snapped, rubbing his head and ear. "If you just did what I asked you to do and didn't gave me cheeky answer, I wouldn't have done it!" he snapped. Sideswipe gave him an angry look but sat down on the other medical bed, with a very grumpy expression. The medic checked my wounds, which were surprisingly completely healed and didn't even left a scar behind. "The energon is doing great..." Ratchet said. "I didn't even give you that much, just a small amount," he muttered. "You can go now..." he said, walking off and glared at Sideswipe in process.
I slid out of bed, walking over to the teenage Autobot, rubbing his sore head. "You're some how cute when you're angry," I said, smiling sweetly. "I am NOT cute! Mechs aren't cute!" he grumbled, giving me a glare. I looked at him in awe "You know what! Femmes are annoying, you are annoying," he said, getting up and turned his back towards me with his arms crossed. "Alright, so you're going to ignore me now?" I asked.
"Alright, ignoring it is," I said with a chuckle as he didn't turn around and only responded with a grumpy huff. "I am going back to my room, taking a shower and get some new clothes," I said, grabbing my shoes. Sideswipe turned his head away "Did you know Sunstreaker has joined me on the shower once?"
He snapped his head towards me "What did he do?" "Weren't you ignoring me?" I asked. "He did nothing," I replied as he was about to give me a cheesy answer. "Now, if you excuse me... why don't you... go bother Epps?" I questioned. "They aren't waiting for a young mech like me..." he sulked. "Even you!" he sulked. "Oh, Sideswipe~... can you please stop playing victim?"
"Ratchet punched me with a wrench and treated me like a sparkling!" he snapped. "because you weren't listening!" I brought out. "You're not hurting toddlers either when they aren't listening!" he complained. "True... but you are~" I stopped. "what am I! Now you have to finish it too!" he said. "... you," I finished. "You never listen, you're stubborn and you create your own rules," I said. "Rules are stupid and boring, I give them a little twist," he said. "I know..." I said and kissed his lips before walking off.
"Stubborn piece of metal..." I sulked, closing the door behind me. I collected some clothes, picking a army green tank top and black skinny jeans. I turned on the water and looked in the mirror for a moment, I didn't look that bad. I expected me to look more like... I was beaten up by a warlord. Sure my skin was a little bit pale from lack of sleep and stress, but other than that, I looked okay. My eyes seemed to glow, probably a side affect from the energon Ratchet had given me.
I undressed and hoped in the shower stall, washing my hair. I was almost done as I felt two strong arms wrap around me. "You don't just walk away from me!" Sideswipe said. "you are so jealous," I said. "You need to treat twins equally otherwise we get jealous!" he said. I hummed "Sunstreaker didn't even deserve it," he grumbled. "I met you when you just came to Washington DC! You're supposed to my best friend, Sunstreaker somehow caught you heart and that's how the bond started to grow between the three of us," he said. "Sides... you know you will always be my first best friend!" I said, turning around. "Am I?"
"Yes!" I stated, laying my hand on his wet cheek. "You are!" I whispered, smiling warmly at him. "I am sorry that I made you feel like your'e not my best friend anymore!" I said. He shrugged his shoulder and kissed me softly, bitting my bottom lip. "Do you think Sunny left earth?" I asked as he pulled back. Sideswipe grabbed the shampoo and sighed, shrugging his shoulders "I don't know... maybe he hates me. Maybe I did something wrong... maybe he don't love me anymore," he muttered sadly. "That's ridiculous! I am sure he still loves you! I mean... you are his twin brother! He can't just dumb you!" I stated.
"He did... he left me behind. Without saying anything he left, delivered you to the Decepticons, broke my spark... he's a great brother, really," he muttered sarcastically. I kissed his cheek "Don't say that... I know he did all of this and I am angry too, but he must have a reason!" I stated. he gave a small nod, not responding.
After the my shower, we headed towards the cafeteria, Sideswipe told me to sit down and he would get some food. I actually started to feel bad, I had to lie to him about who my real father is. The whole point is, I am bonded with him and his brother, it just happened naturally because I am a hybrid, half Cybertronian, but they would probably reject me if they know the truth. I had to keep so many secrets, Sunstreaker's secret, which probably didn't matter anymore since he betrayed me and the Autobots by handing me over to the Decepticons, and my own secret of having a Decepticon as my father.
A sick feeling spread through my body. I scrunched my eyes shut, pretending I'd I invincible for a moment. I hated to lie to Sideswipe, I hated it so much. I was sure I was going to hurt his feelings he would figure out the truth himself.
My eyes snapped open as I heard footsteps approaching. "Are you okay?" Sideswipe asked as he sat down beside me. I briefly looked at his holoform "You look a little bit pale," he added. "I am fine, don't worry," I mumbled. "If you say so... made you a sandwich, and one for myself as well," he said, sighing softly. We ate in silence, I felt horrible for him and wished none of this had happened.
I needed to talk to my mother, I had to tell her the truth. The Decepticons knew and I felt like I had to warn her but I also had some questions for her. It meant I had to leave and I had to go on my own, I couldn't take my guardian. He would know a Decepticon is my father and I couldn't let him figure it out.
That night, Sideswipe's holoform stayed over in my room. I sat in the arm chair, next to the dim light. It was all I needed to keep the darkness from spooking in my imagination. The room was silent except Sideswipe's soft breathing. Covering my mouth, I yawned and turned towards the window, the city lights twinkled against the dark backdrop. The sounds of sirens and weekend parties echoed off against the large buildings, remaining me there was more behind the fences of this base.
I had stayed awake, thinking what I should do but I came to the final conclusion I had to travel back to my mother, one more time to get answers on questions. Maybe Megatron had told her information once, or maybe she could help me. I doubted she wanted to help me since she hates me for being the child of a warlord.
I slid off the armchair, quietly grabbed my snickers. Sideswipe stirred a little, murmuring some things in his sleep. Quietly I got up, kneeling down next to his side of the bed. "I love you... I am sorry I have to leave," I whispered, pressing a soft kiss on his lips. I laid my hand on his cheek, softly rubbing over the smooth fair skin of his holoform. His dark brown hair is a mess and his breathing indicated he's a very deep sleep. "Love you..." I murmured pressing a kiss on his forehead before I got up grabbing my backpack. I looked one more time at the sleeping form of my boyfriend before I left, closing the door softly behind me.
