After the news, I had left the meeting room and sent her home. I couldn't believe it. I am the daughter of our enemy, someone that has slaughtered innocent people and is still trying to rule over our planet and kill all the humans. How could she even fall for someone like Megatron. The worst part, how am I supposed to tell the Autobots? Will they still accept me? Of course they won't accept me anymore. I need to be alone and strode into the archive, banging the door closed.
This is bad... very bad. It really does explain why my own family doesn't like me. I am the creation of a monster, someone even far worse than Sunstreaker. Now I am thinking about Sunstreaker... he was going to kill me for sure. He once spared my life... but if he knows the truth... if he knows Megatron is my biological father... then he's going to kill me for sure.
Speaking of the devil, the yellow mech just walked in, slowly and silently. "What do you want?" I asked, avoiding his eyes. "I saw you storming off... I wanted to know if you're okay. You seemed to be upset," he replied. I looked up to him watching him sit down beside me. "What are you doing, Sunstreaker... why are you messing with me?" I asked, looking at him. "I am not messing with you," he replied. "Sunstreaker... you are an alien... I am human... please drop it," I said. "I can't..." he replied. "I want to be there for you... that also counts for Sideswipe... you are pushing us away... especially me," he said.
"Look Streaker... I am not in the mood to discuss this right now, alright?" I asked. "So, if you are here to convince me... then you can better leave," I snapped. He sighed, staring at the many files in front of us. "Do you want to talk about what happened?" he asked. "No..." I grumbled. "I just hate my parents," I added quietly. "So do I..." he replied. "They abused you... but mine are lying to me all my life, neglecting me," I grumbled. "I know..." he replied.
"Can we make it up? I don't like to fight you," he said. "I tried it half an hour ago," he said. "Anything is possible..." he added. "Don't Sunstreaker..." I said. He gave a small nod "I have to go..." I said, getting up. "I need to leave too..." he said, getting up as well. "Where are you going?" I asked. "I need a drive..." he said. I raised a brow "I will be back soon..." he added. "Are you mad at me for rejecting you?" I asked. "I am not mad..." he said. "Sunny..." I grabbed his arm "What?" he snapped.
"You are angry!" I said. "No, I am not... how would you feel?" he asked before he pulled himself free. "You wanted to make it up to me..." I said. "I know..." he said before he walked off. I shook my head and left as well, walking over to the medbay, but hesitated. What if Sunstreaker is telling the truth, what if there's a bond started to get stronger between us three? Was that what Sideswipe wanted to tell me too?
"Skylar?"
I turned around "Ratchet..." I said. "What brings you here?" he asked. "I had a question... something Sunstreaker told me, and I need to know if it's true... he told me to talk to you if I didn't believe it," I said. Ratchet closed the file he was holding "I think I know what you are talking about... come with me."
I followed him towards a room and sat down in front of the desk. "He told you about the bond?" he asked. "Yes... Is he messing with me?" I asked. "No, he is not," he replied. "I check up every Autobot in this base once in a while, each half year. Just a check-up to make sure they are okay and their systems are okay... Sunstreaker came to me, which is odd since he hates check-ups. He told me that... he has pain, in his spark or what humans call a 'heart'. There's nothing wrong with his spark, I also checked-up Sideswipe. It turned out both have spark aches,"
"So...?"
"So, it turns out they have started to bond with you. These bonds are very complicated and I am still studying it. You know the twins have a bond because they share a spark... each one half. That connects them... and that's why they die without each other or if one of them gets killed. However, they are also able to bond with others. Normally, a bond like this doesn't occur by humans... but you are a hybrid... Sideswipe knows, Sunstreaker doesn't," he said.
"What are you saying?" I asked. "I am saying that... there started a bond to form. Probably started with Sideswipe because you are his best friend... Sunstreaker followed shortly after," he said.
"Look... I don't want this bond, so how do I get rid of it?" I asked. "You can't get rid of it... it started to form with a reason," Ratchet said. "So you are telling me... the bond is unbreakable?" I asked. Ratchet nodded "Yes, basically. He's not messing with you," he said. I sucked in a breath as a silence fell between us. I felt a strong fear coming up and the medic noticed this too. "The process is slowed down... you're not with them," he said.
"So... staying away from them will help?" I questioned. "I am not saying that... with time you will get heart aches," he said. "You need to live with the fact you are connected with them now," he added. It all sounded so confusing, I didn't understand how or why I started to bond with them.
Slowly, I got up. "I need to go... I--" I cut myself off and left. I needed to be alone, I needed to clear my mind. "According to Ratchet... I couldn't change anything about this. I am stuck with it from now on. It was mostly fear that I felt and never left. Fear something that even Ratchet didn't fully understand.
I uttered a scream as someone called my name. Jazz grinned while approaching me "Sorry... I didn't mean to scare you. I thought you heard me," he said, flashing me a warm smile. I shook my head "So...whatsup?" I asked, using slang since Jazz talked almost all the time in slang. A smirk curled on his lips. "I am good... how are ya? I haven't seen ya for a while," he said. "Busy," I replied. "I would say... you're stressed," he said, walking next to me. "Little bit..." I honestly said.
he hummed softly "I was wondering if you have seen Sunstreaker," he said. "He told me he had things to do, he left," I replied, lost in a chain of thoughts. "We know he left, but we can't contact him," he replied. I was snapped out of my thoughts by hearing this "What?"
"We have no clue where he is, even his brother doesn't know. Prime asked me to talk to you and see if you know more," he replied. "No... we had an argument earlier today, but... he told me he had something to do," I replied. "And... he didn't tell ya what where he was going?" he asked. "Nope... he told me nothing. Just that he is busy," I replied. The mech sighed, biting his lip. "Do you think the Decepticons got him?" I asked.
"We don't know... depends on where he was going. The Decepticons are mobilizing for some reason. Every time we arrive on the scene... they leave or have already left," I said. "It has something to do with what Sideswipe figured out," I replied. "Of course it has something to do with that... they know there's a hybrid!"
Jazz and I turned around "Can I have a word with Skylar?" Sideswipe asked. "Sure..." Jazz said, waving goodbye before he left. "You are avoiding me..." he said. "I know..." "Have you talked to Ratchet?" he asked. "Yes... I did," I muttered. "And? What do you think about it?" he questioned. "I don't know..." I sighed, rubbing my forehead. "We need to tell my brother the truth," Sideswipe stated. "Or do you think he left because you rejected him?" he added.
"No, why would he? It will only cause him pain and death in the end. You know he can not be separated from you for too long. Besides, the incomplete bond will hurt his spark even more. I don't think so. He's too stubborn to just drop it," I said. "True... so, the Decepticons got him?" he asked. "I don't know... he didn't tell me anything," I said. "I know he has secrets from me... you know something I don't..." Sideswipe said. "You know what happened that night when Sunny went to kill our father... you know the truth, don't you?" he asked.
"I do... but I have sworn not to tell anyone. Not even you... I don't want to break that promise. It's something your brother has to tell you. I don't have the rights to tell you... he trusted me with his secret..." I said. "Can you at least tell me something, I need to know what's going on in his mind, what he feels and thinks. The last few weeks, he has blocked me from the bond, I have no idea what's going on in his mind or what he feels. He trusts you..."
I looked away "Skylar...please help me out here," he pleaded with me. "All I can tell you... is that your father was blackmailing your brother... he was relieved when your father was killed... I just can't say more about it. You have to ask him yourself, okay?" I questioned. "I thought we were best friends, I thought we don't have secrets for each other."
"Don't make this harder for me okay? We have had fights about the topic, he promised me he was going to tell you. I don't know when but he promised, so please be patient," I said. "Whatever," he grumbled before he turned around and left.
