15. Decepticons

I jolted awake when Sideswipe touched me, laughing a little. "Sorry, I didn't know how to wake you up," he said, smiling widely. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. "Sorry,"
"For what?" He asked. "For not entertaining you."
He waved his hand "it's fine..."
I noticed he had stopped near a MacDonalds. "I thought maybe you're hungry since you haven't eaten since this morning," he said. "We are driving for another 2 hours," he added.

"Ah! I am starving actually," I said, licking my lips. "Yeah... I already thought that" he said before he started his engine and drove into the drive-through. "What would you like to have?" He asked. "You're gonna take something too! I don't wanna eat alone,"

He smirked a little "I haven't had any Energon since yesterday! I can use some human food till I reach the base," he said. Sideswipe ordered and waiting for the last window. I could tell Sideswipe was impatient. "Are we in a rush?" I asked. "Ugh, kinda," he sulked. "I just wanna go back to base," he said. "Get some rest... a little bit tired," he said, stretching himself. "You want me to drive?"

Sideswipe snapped his head towards me but couldn't answer. The lady handed him the bag. "Driving?" Sideswipe asked him parked on the nearby parking lot. "Why not? I can drive," I said. Sideswipe handed me my food. "You trust me?" I asked. "I have never seen you drive," he honestly said. "You don't trust me!"

"I am not saying that... I am just saying... that... you never drove a car or something,"

I gave him a look "I am an Autobot... Don't you think I can drive?" He asked. "Yes... but you're also stressed, mainly your brother's fault and everything that happened around it. You would lie if you say you don't sleep peacefully..." I said before popping some French fries in my mouth. "You shouldn't drive if you're tired, and I know you are," I said. He sighed, taking some sips of the milkshake.

"Yeah... okay, fine, do you know how to get back to the base?" He asked. "I just follow the signs above the highway," I said, shrugging my shoulders.
When we were done I switched with Sideswipe.
I got my drive licenses, but after that, I hadn't driven a car anymore. Maybe once or twice. But it had been a few months. I started his engine "you know what I would do first?" Sideswipe asked, little bit tensed. I snapped my head towards him. "Get the car off the handbrake."

I blushed a little "I knew that! I was just testing you!"
He laughed mockingly "sure you were!"
I kicked on the gas paddle and the car jerked forward. Sideswipe's got almost slammed into his own dash as I kicked on the brakes. "What are you doing?" He exclaimed. "Driving..."

"Driving? I have no faith you get us back safely!"

"Relax! I am a pro..." I stated in a 'matter of fact tone'. He gave me a 'really' look. Sideswipe helped me a little bit, till I was on the highway and gave me full control over his alt-mode. "Don't crash," he said as he leaned back in the seat. "No! Of course not," I snorted.

Sideswipe said nothing and only watched what I was doing with the gaze in his that told me he didn't agree with how I was driving. "What?" I asked. "You're driving 60 mph... I can go faster than that!" He stated. "You need to go faster! Why else do you think everyone is passing us and honking their horns! Sped up to 70 mph!" He stated. It wasn't really a question, the car started speeding up itself.

I tightly grasped the steering wheel. "Keep this speed," he said. "You said 70 mph! This 90 mph!"
"I can go a lot faster than this! My alt-mode is a sports car! I can't drive around like a grandma!" He stated a little bit snappy, but I guessed he was just tired and angry about what my parents said and did.

We said nothing and I kept following this route. I noticed the car started to drive even smoother. Sideswipe made sure I kept this speed, so I didn't even have my food on the gas pedal, but now the speed started to decrease. I looked at his holoform, taking note of his state. Sideswipe has just fallen asleep. I got full control over practically his body.
