6. Crime scene

It was night, kinda everyone at the base was asleep except the people that had their night shift. They didn't mind me, they didn't even glance at me as I passed them. I found the way to the brig, I needed to see Sideswipe. It had been a week since I last saw him and Prowl was keeping a close eye on me. I looked around one more time before I pushed a heavy metal door open, revealing stairs that led towards the basement where the brig was located.

I had never been there before, it turned out, it's for Decepticons to stay in when they're captured and before they're killed or transferred to a Diego Garcia. The formal base of the Autobots but now it was to keep Decepticons locked up. The brig was also for Autobots that didn't behave like Sideswipe, as some sort of punishment. I sneaked in and saw the Silvery Corvette Stingray 2009 parked in the middle, he didn't react on me when I walked in. I presumed he was in recharge, it was pretty late already.

I looked around, taking note of scary it looked like. The walls were covered in scratches, just as the walls in the cells itself. I shivered at what I was seeing and quickly walked over to Sideswipe's cell. It was pretty dark too, no daylight or anything. "Sideswipe?" I whispered. There was no reaction, I hoped he wasn't mad at me for not visiting him sooner. "Sideswipe!"I called out, some louder this time. His headlights flashed on and his engine roared to life as well. "Sky... what are you doing here?" he asked surprised, driving closer towards the bars. "Checking up on you, to see if you're still alive," I said.

"I am fine... just tired of being in here," he sighed. "You lost it, man!"
"no shit... I was so ticked off, I am sorry you had to see all that," he sighed. "it's alright, I would be mad too," I replied, sitting down on the floor. "I have a candy bar..." I trailed off. I watched his holoform appear and sit down in front of me. I shove the candy bar through the bars. "Great!" he chirped, unwrapping it. "So, how have you been?" he asked. "Without you... life is boring,"
He smirked "Ahw, I knew you would miss me, why didn't you came sooner?" he asked.

"Prowl was watching me like a hawk... he's stalking me all day," I sulked. Sideswipe smirked a bit "I know that feeling," he mocked. "There's something I need to tell you... you know, I thought, if they won't tell you everything I can investigate it on my own, so that's what I did... I sneaked into the Lennox office and Mearing office to get some information about your brother... I found something,"

Sideswipe looked curiously at the pieces of paper I grabbed from my pocket. "I made some copies... read for yourself," I said, handing it over to him. "A yellow Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster has been seen multiple times in Minnesota," he muttered. I nodded "I couldn't give you the photo's but the Autobot symbol was clear on the front and side of the car... there's no doubt but this is your brother... plus this was recent, like a day ago," I said. "Your kidding..."
"No I am not... the Pentagon had asked to take him down, but Optimus refused, they're gonna take you to the scene, they hope you can help them locate him," I said. "Oh so now they want my help," he muttered. "That are letters and Emails between the pentagon and N.E.S.T," I said.

"I just don't get it... it seems Sunstreaker is randomly picking people he kills, but it's all over the state, in Texas, Minnesota, LA... South Dakota... even Oregon... I don't get why would he travel through all these states and kill people, it's like... he's looking for something," he said as he flipped through the papers I just gave him. "I couldn't find anything about that either... I tried, but found nothing for so far," I said. "Sunny what are you up too..."

"he has been in your state as well..." he said, meeting my eyes. "I don't know, Sides... I don't what he's up to," I said, shrugging my shoulders. "Everyone is just as confused as you are," I said. Sideswipe sighed, looking away for a moment. "Thanks... for the information, it really means a lot," he said, looking back at me again. "It's alright... "
