I sat in my arm-chair, next to the dim light. It was all I needed, just enough to keep the darkness from spooking my imagination. I covered my mouth, jawed then turned to the window, watching the lights of the houses and skyscrapers that reminded me there's a whole life outside the base. Since I got back, I haven't left the base anymore, a little drive with Sideswipe would do good. I knew he had to rest, but I also knew he wanted to leave the base and clear his mind.

I got up, shut the light, and laid in bed, staring at the ceiling above me. I fell in a restless slumber, Dreadbolt kept popping up in my head.

I woke up from someone straddling me then forcefully shook me. "Sideswipe!" I hissed, opening my eyes. He smirked while hovering over me, pushing my shoulders on the mattress. "You're awake!" he chirped. I rolled my eyes "Thanks to you!" I grunted. He smirked "So... why did you wake up? Couldn't you wait?" I asked. "No! You had to wake up right now!" he said. "Because?"

"Optimus gave me something to do... but doing it alone would be boring," he said, smirking. "I am not gonna mop the hallways again," I warned. He shook his head "No... new weapons arrived, normally it's something for Ironhide to unpack and test them, but he's with your uncle at the farm to guard them, so I thought maybe you wanna help me, then I show you how to use them as well. Just in case you end up in a battle again," he said a bit teasingly.

I huffed and rolled my eyes "Alright! but first... get off me please."

Sideswipe got up and flopped on the arm-chair, turning on the TV. "I'll just wait here for you," he said. "How's Sunstreaker doing?" I asked. "I haven't seen him anymore," Sideswipe honestly said. "Oh... and you don't feel the urge to check up on him?" I asked. Sideswipe bit his lip "He's fine... just trying to stay out of our father's way," Sideswipe grumbled. I saw there was more. Something was bothering Sideswipe and I couldn't tell what it was.

I grabbed jean shorts and a black tank top from my cabinet and headed towards the bathroom. After my daily routine, and added some mascara and eyeliner, I curled my long blonde hair in a knot.

"Took you long enough," Sideswipe grunted, giving me a look. I rolled my eyes, grabbing my shoes. "Do you know what Optimus said to Sunstreaker the previous day?" I asked. Sideswipe sighed, turning off the TV. "I asked Optimus the same this morning, Sunstreaker refuses to cooperate for some reason... he's hiding something. We don't wanna push him either... we fear he will leave if we cross his boundaries," Sideswipe said. I gave a small nod, getting up. "Shall we?" I asked, rubbing my face. Sideswipe nodded and got up, following me.

"Aren't you hungry?" he asked. I shook my head "Nah... not really," I muttered. Sideswipe raised his brow "Are you sick?" he asked. Again I shook my head "Come on... weren't you in a hurry?" I asked. I pushed open the door of the training room, walking over to the wooden crates.

Sideswipe pushed open some crates, grabbing a gun "This is how you load a gun like this..." he said, showing me. "You see that dummy over there?" he asked. I followed his gaze and nodded. He aimed and fired a couple of times, all of them hit the head of the dummy. "You wanna try?" he asked. I gave a small nod, taking the gun from him and loaded it, aiming it on the dummy. Sideswipe got behind me, helping me a little. "Good... aim a little bit higher..." he said, his hot breath fanned down my neck. I tried not to blush while aiming. "Perfect..." he murmured. "Fire..."

Sideswipe did a step back while I shot a couple of times. I had hit the dummy a couple of times. "You will get better at it," Sideswipe said, looking into my eyes. I flashed him a smile "It's harder than I thought," I said honestly. Sideswipe smirked "Rome wasn't built in one day either..." he said, taking the gun back. I huffed, handing him some guns. "Are you mad at Sunstreaker?"
