An hour. An hour has passed since your arrived back at your home. You stood there, your train of thought becoming muddled. You recalled your discussion with Rogue upon your appearance in the throne room, how her eyes welled with tears before running off and slamming the door of her and Jack's shared room.

"My Queen, please remain still."

You cracked a nervous smile as you presumed your upright stature, letting the woman fit you into your dress without any hassle. She giggled in delight, her delicate fingertips tracing the seams and stitching a few loose ones. Her humming put you at ease, calming your mind and allowing your train of thought function once again. Your arms and wings were held out straight, rendering your joints sore from standing still for so long. Not even a few minutes later, she stood up and got a good look at your dress. She circled around you, checking for mistakes and loose thread which there was gladly none.

She hovered back in front of you with gleaming eyes, adoration spread across her face, "you're all ready to go my Queen!"

You smiled, lifted the hem of your dress and stood down from the pedestal, "I can't thank you enough my dear!"

"It's perfectly fine your Highness!" she exclaimed cheerfully, moving her glasses so they're sat atop her head, "feel free to get changed and you'll be ready for the evening!"

You giggled softly, bowing for the woman and walking off to the changing rooms.

You hummed quietly to yourself as you stripped out of the dress, pulling on your regular sleeveless shirt, cuffed jeans, combat boots and your gloves. You laid the dress over your arm and stepped out of the small room to see the same woman working on another dress. You chuckled and hung your newly made dress onto a mannequin, adjusting it and letting the accessories hang off.

"Oh your Highness, I can finish up," the woman said, "go on out and have fun before the event begins!"

"Thank you my dear..." you chuckled again and bid her goodbye, leaping out the window and into the skies. The fresh air flew past your rosy cheeks, leaving them cold to the touch. It was going to snow soon. Your smile dropped and your mind began to wander. Jack...he could be hurt...or worse...

You sighed, pushing the negative thoughts away and continued to soar through the air. People down below seemed to notice your figure and waved ecstatically, smiling and laughing as they prepared for tomorrow's festivities.

You grinned and waved back eagerly, soaring off through the clouds towards the edge of your beloved kingdom. You flew out past the gates and the wide ocean welcomed you.

Your laughter rang through the cold afternoon air, sea creatures from the depths swimming up and diving out over the water. You giggled soft, soaring over the vast sea towards the mainland.

Cities, farms and towers. You were amazed with how humans have grown over the previous 300 years. They certainly have adapted well.

Soon you found yourself arriving at your destination, Pennsylvania. Everything was painted a gorgeous pearly white, the snow drifting down onto the icy roads. You slowly landed in the thick snow of the sparse forest you were in once before. You looked around nervously, fearing that Pitch may be lurking nearby...

You shuddered from the cold and quickly ran towards the edge of the forest, out into the more quiet part of town. You sighed in pure relief, climbing onto the a power pole and walking across the powerline.

You loved this place. Everything in Pennsylvania  was gorgeous, especially around this time of year. You hummed to yourself, arriving at your desired home. Jamie Bennet. The young boy stood atop an old wooden ladder, desperately trying to reach for something in the gutters of the rooftop.

You smiled as you eyed his Easter basket, hopping down from the powerlines into the snow and ducking behind a large tree.

"Whoa! Whoa, woah!" the boy screeched, the ladder falling to the ground. He quickly caught onto the gutter of the house only for his hand to slip. The red headed girl you knew as Pippa winced as he hit the ground with a loud thud!

Then suddenly, a tennis ball. A bright pink and purple tennis ball fell from the gutter above and bounced off the porch, rolling in front of Jamie. He frowned in disappointment, yet immediately hopped back up eagerly, "let's check the park again!"

The dark skinned boy dressed in a hockey jersey you knew as Claude spoke up to Jamie's rash decision, "Really...? For what? The Easter Bunny?"

His sarcasm surprised you. No one ever joked or made a sarcastic comment about Bunny...

"Guys I told you-" Jamie picked up his basket and brushed his clothes off, "-I saw him!"

You smiled as he recalled Bunny, yet that feeling was short lift as you remembered the death that occurred that night...

"He's way bigger than I thought!" Jamie said, leaping into the air to exaggerate his words, "and he's got these cool boomerang things!"

The other children sighed, "grow up Jamie..."

He stood there in bewilderment as the others surrounded him. He stumbled backward, "what's happened to you guys...?"

Caleb, the brother of Claude, spoke up, sadness and disappointment filling his voice, "It was a dream! You should be happy you still get dreams like that...and not..."

"Nightmares..." Cupcake finished, her once angry demeanor disappearing to reveal a sad little girl.

You gasped and stumbled back into the snow, yet none of the children even bothered to look towards you. It seemed as if you were invisible.

The children turned away from Jamie with sad and disappointed frowns. Pippa tossed the ball into Jamie's basket with a sigh, "forget it Jamie..."

He looked into her eyes in disbelief, tears pricking the corners of his own. He stared at her, sadness filling her once vibrant and cheerful eyes.

"There's just no Easter this year..."

Your eyes began to blur. Your body even felt lighter as you stood up from the ground and desperately raced towards them. Yet none of them paid any attention to you. You'd met these children...why didn't they look at you now...? None of them acknowledged the fact you were standing right there...

"Children please! Easter is real!" you cried out, yet no one paid attention to your shouts. Tears streamed down your cheeks as you sprinted towards Jamie, wrapping your arms around him. And yet...

He walked right though you.

Have a small chapter while I get back into the habit of writing. It feels good to be properly writing again and I hope you enjoyed!
