Your pounding migraine hadn't ceased and only worsened. You held your head in your hands, small beads of tears welled in your eyes as you stared at the small locket that hung around your neck. Pitch was back. Would he try to kill you? Again? He wasn't the same man you used to know, that was all you could conclude.

Your stare into your lap never fazed for a moment. And somehow, the elves had made it all the way to the pinnacle of the spinning globe. You had to admit, you were impressed that such small creatures could climb all the way up. Two of them slept in your lap and one was perched on your shoulder, playing with your hair. Even the tooth fairies decided to try and console you, it didn't really help.

"(Y/N)?..." Tooth's silky voice sliced through the air as she flitted in front of you, suspending Bunny in the air. You lifted your head to meet their gazes as they sat beside you. You honestly thought it would be Sandy comfort you, but strangely, he was nowhere to be seen.

"I'm fine," you said with the most cheeriest voice you could, blinking away some excess tears that filled your eyes.

"Stop saying that (Y/N)!" Tooth screeched, holding your hands in hers, "in just the short time Bunny and I have known you, we already know you aren't fine."

You sat upright to her worry. 'Why did it have to be now?!', you thought, twiddling the blade of your sword in your hands. To be honest, their worry confused you. You had only just met Tooth a few hours ago, and Bunny almost an hour ago, yet it still felt like you could tell them anything!

"Sheila, care to explain what that was before?" Bunny asked curiously, gesturing to your eyes. He honestly thought you were angry at him for bickering with Jack, but there was something about you that seemed to mess with his head. It's like you couldn't stay mad at anyone, not for long at least.

You perked up at Bunny's question and sighed, holding the locket in your hand, "I can't really explain it but I just become devoid of emotions." You registered the looks on their faces, confusion spread and hit them like a tsunami. "I guess the mention of Pitch just, triggered the reaction. It's only ever happened once before."

The place went silent, with the exception of two small yawns coming from the elves that slept in your lap. You smiled weakly, bearing your fangs for a brief moment. For a second, you smiled at the moon, the colour of the bright sky filled your eyes as snowflakes danced and drifted down onto your bare skin, melting on contact.

"Pitch was my best friend," you whispered, interrupting the peaceful silence, "we were inseparable, the Head of Royal Guard together!"

Tears slowly began to stream down your face as you smiled, "I trained so many elite soldiers, hell, I helped raise Manny!" your happy squealing erupted into smiles as you spoke, "that kid grew to be the man he is today."

"You're older than The Man in the Moon himself!?" Tooth questioned excitedly, your smile piercing her own. You laughed, the sound of heaven reaching Bunny's floppy ears as he listened intently to your melodic voice. "Myself, Pitch and an old friend raised him, the King and Queen were always pulled away by their royal duties."

You took the gleaming hoop from your head and twirled it around your finger, "god, I'd give anything to go back, be mortal again!" Before you could go to speak again, a buzzing sound came from your pocket and the little elf that sat on your shoulder slid down and took the item, standing in in front of you, a crystal gem in his small hands. The gem was a stunning amethyst, lined with golden and silver with a slight beaming glow to it.

You smiled, took the stone into your hand and kissed the elf's forehead, earning a dorky love struck grin in return. All that could be said is, Bunny was slightly jealous, and Tooth was being extra smug about his poutiness.

You shook the crystal as it began to glow and float out of your hand. It suspended itself in front of you, a tinged and glitchy hologram appearing before you. The figure calling you was hazy and mislead as she spoke, her thin body flying with every ounce of strength she had.

"Mom!" The girl called into the camera. Her face was vaguely bruised, cuts lined her cheeks and blood dripped from her nose, and she had a black eye as well. Well Rogue, your brother is going to kill you. Sweat dribbled down her face, mixing with the blood that dripped from her face, "Som-ing -ong!"

The crystal began to crackle and faze out, Rogue's face and body becoming even more glitchy by the second. "Rogue, what happened to you?!"

"Tooth -alace! Und- attack!"

Tooth lost her gentle smile and began to hyperventilate before leaping off the globe and soaring out the window, her fairies following on close behind. The crystal's bright purple glow began to fade as the gem dropped into your hands, almost cracking.

"Tooth Palace is under atta-" the crystal finally cracked in half, the hologram fading from existence and your jaw was left hanging. You turned and faced Bunny, who looked just as confused and worried as you did. You stood up and lifted the elves onto your shoulders, holding your hands out to Bunny, the most determined face anybody had ever seen just stood in front of him.

He nodded, grasped your wrists and you glided down to the lower levels of the workshop. You landed quickly on the level above North's office and leaped down once again, beginning to sprint your way around the yeti's as Bunny got on all fours, bounding his way beside you. You didn't know the reason, but you preferred running to flying, it was less noticeable.

You finally reached North's office. Jack and said man stood there, admiring the wonders of the workshop and turned to you after clearing your throat. Suddenly, you felt a presence beside you and you jumped away, only to find Sandy there, smiling mischievously at you. You groaned and slapped his arm gently, causing him to bound in laughter, silently of course.

"We have a problem, mate," Bunny said cautiously, "trouble at Tooth Palace."

"Rogue was there, she was attacked-" you stepped forward, "-Tooth is in trouble."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" North threw his sword up triumphantly.

You entered an area of the icy caves that you had been pulled into just a few hours ago by your Yeti friends. This area was hidden deep inside the mountain, Phil and the other Yeti's guiding your way.

"I told you, I'm not going with you guys!" Jack whined as you shoved open the doors of another cavern, "There is no way I'm climbing into some rickety, old..."

As he almost finished his argument, you slapped your hand across his mouth to shut him up, the echoing sound of hooves colliding against the ice filling your ears. You smiled dorkily, bounding up and down in excitement as the wonderful craftsmanship of the sleigh finally came into view.

"Sleigh..."

You uncovered his mouth and ran to each reindeer with North, whispering sweet nothings to them in order to calm them down, and finally, the sleigh was there in full perspective as it pulled up in front of the five of you. It was elegant and charming, the red was lined with gold and white accents, reflecting off the soft cedar wood. And in the center of the control panel, sat a large globe, a map of the world. You bounded up and down excitedly, honestly, you and Sandy were the only ones excited.

"Okay. One ride, but that's it," Jack said, hopping aboard the sleigh before North, Sandy and yourself.

"Everyone loves the sleigh," North said, helping you into the sleigh like the gentleman he was, "Bunny, what are you waiting for!"

You sat down in front of Sandy, almost exploding with excitement if it weren't for Jack's hand gripping your shoulder.

"I think my tunnels might be faster mate, and, um, and safer," he kicked the sleigh as if it was dangerous and looked to you with pleading eyes, holding his paw out to you.

Jack, Sandy and North rolled their eyes, "Ugh! Get in!" North grabbed the sash that tied around Bunny's chest and pulled him onto the sleigh, purposely putting him closer to you, "Buckle up!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where are the bloody seat belts?"

"Ha! That was just expression!" North chuckled, "are we ready?"
