Dear Diary,The globe changed.
I got those strange pains again. They were much worse than before, and I knew that something was wrong. I had a nightmare too, and woke up after having a strange vision.
The vision showed me the globe that was centred in the Library here at the castle, but it didn't resemble earth. I'm staring at it now, with Pitch pacing around and around it trapped in thought. I almost forgot what home looked like, I always loved the desert sands that surrounded the Oasis. I remember going out and doing tricks on our bikes with some of my friends before I joined the Royal Guard. We kicked up sand, and herded livestock back to their farms.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of golden lights that trickled across the globe. I...I'm confused. This means that— that everyone is okay. Everyone is alive.
Pitch is muttering to himself again. He was doing it even when I ran into him on the way here. I'm worried about him, I'm worried about all of this. I'm worried about my friends, my family, everyone back home.
Maybe this is our next chapter. Maybe this is our real destiny. To go home.
I've already tasked my engineers to work on the old ship. They're the only ones who know about mine and Pitch's plans, and have been sworn to secrecy.
I wanted to tell Aster, but all I could write to him was a small post-it note telling him that something came up in the middle of the night. I...I don't want to disappear without a trace. I'm scared this might be my last night on this planet. I'm scared I might not return.
This war needs to end, regardless if it's been 3000 years or not. I have a duty to my people, and I have a responsibility to the Royal Family. Since the King and Queen are gone, it seems Pitch and I are the only one's who can truly end this nightmare our friends are facing.
...
I hope Mom and Dad are okay. I've been trying to pick up a signal for the past few hours but it's been no luck. I hope Ekko hasn't taken down the antenna at the Hideout. Or if Mira spilled her soda all over it again.
Regardless, I need to know if everyone's okay, I need to make sure everyone's okay. That's my duty as Head of Royal Guard, isn't it? That's what I fought my way to the top for, right?
I think this might be my last journal entry for a while. If I disappear now, at least the others can hold onto hope for my return. Should I return, that is.
The ship is almost ready, so this seems like goodbye. I don't know where to leave you, but if Rogue comes across you, she at least deserves to know where I am.
Everyone, if you find this, I'm going home. I'm sorry I cannot take you with me, but I have unfinished business I must attend to before I return.
I love you.
