"YOU DID WHAT?!"

Your voice echoed and bounced off of the walls surrounding you all. Your fists were curled tightly, almost going purple.

"Okay so what? An execution would be the best thing for this place!" Rogue replied at your harsh tones.

"But you don't get to make that call, Rogue!" You shouted, standing to your feet from the hospital bed, "yes, your father is a fucking prick but a sudden execution!? The people will think you're as mad as a Hatter!"

"But-"

"No buts," you said, "we don't even know if he had anything to do with this."

"My best bet is that he does, sister," Pitch said, placing a gentle hand on Rogue's shoulder, "and besides, doesn't he deserve it anyways? According to what your daughter has told me that is."

"Maybe so..." you mumbled, stepping out of the Infirmary with the others trailing behind you, "but, I can't just execute someone after not having done so in 500 years or so..."

"Then make this the last one! Dad deserves everything that'll come to him!" Rogue cried, gripping onto your hands, "please mom...he's hurting everyone and us..."

You sighed and shut your eyelids for a moments, thinking to yourself. Rogue's grip on your hands begun to loosen as time passed.

"Fine...last one," you said, "I'm still pissed off at you for making such a decision without my input."

"Well I have to make decisions on my own someday," she replied, "you won't wanna be Queen forever..."

Your eyes widened at her words, you had never thought about leaving the Kingdom or standing down from your title. Even if you did, where would you go? Even now, living in the same place has become much more lonely despite being surrounded by those you loved.

"Mom?" Rogue said, waving her hand over your face, "mom are you in there?"

You laughed quietly, "of course I am, I was just thinking about a few things."

"Don't think too hard," North chuckled, "surely you must still have headache?

You giggled slightly, "I'll be fine, maybe I just need a nap or something."

"Then go nap!" Rogue said, pushing you down the hall, "I'll handle all the preparations! Go sleep!"

"Alright, alright!" You laughed, kissing her forehead, "don't do anything wrong, please. And tell me if something happens!"

"We will!" Everyone replied, walking off the opposite way. You sighed to yourself, when a pair of arms snaked around you.

"Sly bunny." you giggled, embracing in the warmth of Aster's fur, "how come you aren't going with the others?"

"Just wanted ta take care o' ya..." he replied, fiddling with your fingers and holding your hand, "seein' as I didn't do much of a great job yesterday..."

"Oh Honey Bunny!" You said, spinning your body to face him, "you couldn't have done anything! It's not your fault..."

His eyes were glossy, threatening to spill with tears as he cradled your petite and frail body. He'd been keeping himself in check ever since your body was brought to them, but now that you're alone together, he finally broke.

His repeated apologies filled your ears as his arms wrapped around you tightly. He couldn't save you once again.

"Ah'm a failure to ya..." he mumbled, clutching onto you, "I couldn't help..."
