Quote of the day: yesterday is history... Tomorrow is a mystery... And today...?  Let's just make the best of today😁.

Greg didn't know why Gael had chose to meet at a place like this, he had no interest whatsoever in basketball, and he couldn't bear the thought of sitting to watch it.

His attention was on Ashley. He had been behaving very stupid lately in as regards to her, but he didn't know what to do. He needed to assure himself that Ashley was nothing more to him than a girl he was attracted to.

And he needed to assure Nora that he was never abandoning her. If putting Ashley off was a way to do it, he clearly didn't mind. His only priority in this life was Nora and he had to make her happy.

But pretending that Ashley was nothing but a secretary was the hardest thing he has had to do in his twenty six years of existence. He hated the fact that she was so sexy, he hadn't mind before since he enjoyed looking at her body, but he clearly didn't enjoy other guys staring at her body.

He kept on stealing glances at her, she wasn't paying attention to the game, she was instead watching people. He tried to pay attention to what Gael was saying but his mind was suddenly all over Ashley as he felt her froze beside him.

He looked at her and saw her staring into the opposite direction looking at a particular man who was also staring at her.

  Was he someone she knew?

He didn't have the time to be curious when he saw her began to shiver,
"are you fine?" He asked her but she didn't reply. He turned her to face him, and he saw fear written all over her face, he quickly pushed the feeling of recognition he had away.

Greg turned to see that the man was still staring at her. He didn't know who he was, but he knew he scared Ashley. And he didn't like it.

"Do you want to get out of here?" he asked her quietly which she nodded to eagerly. He stood up and raised her with him, Gael stood up also looking at him with questioning eyes, "it seems we have to leave Gael."

"You can't, we haven't spoken about the..."

"Well if you have chosen a different place to meet maybe we wouldn't have to leave so urgently," he retorted in a cold voice. This had Gael quiet, he half expected the man to reply but, when Gael turned and saw how white Ashley had become at his side he didn't.

"Is she okay?" Gael asked with concern.

"She will be, you can just email whatever it is you come up with to me, as you know I'm leaving for New York tomorrow," Greg said and left the arena, holding Ashley close to his side.

Immediately they got outside she shrugged out of his embrace and got  into the car, he got in beside her. He wanted to question her, but he started the car instead.

Ashley leaned back into the seat. She was still so white and didn't look anything like her usual self. He didn't ask her anything deciding to save the discussion for when they got to the hotel.

On getting to the hotel, he parked the car, and went to her side to help her out, but she ignored him still and walked briskly into the hotel. He fucking hated been ignored especially when it was Ashley.

He followed her in, and watched her go into her room immediately getting to the suite, he followed her into her room. She sat down on her bed with an ashen face, he walked up to her to sit beside her.

  "Are you okay?" He asked.

"As you can see I am," she replied with a cold voice.

"Who was that man Ashley?" he asked her, calling out her name after almost a week.
