Vol. 1 Ch. 5 The Not-A-Date Date

Ace's (Your) POV

I got to the courtyard and didn't see Nora yet. I walked over to a nearby bench that was under a tree. After a few minutes, I heard the tree branches above me shake a little. I looked up and saw Nora hanging upside down from one of the branches. I smiled and said, "Hey, Nora." She giggled, poked me on the nose, and said, "Boop!" I smirked and said, "You gonna come down from the tree, or am I going to have to get you down myself?" She smiled and said, "I'm not coming down." I smirked even more and said, "Fine, have it your way." I stood up, grabbed her arms, and yanked her out of the tree. She fell on top of me, knocking us both to the ground, with her on top of me. We both blushed slightly and I said, "Uhh, Nora? Do you mind getting off of me?" She nodded and got up. She helped me up and said, "Alright. Where are we going first?" I smiled and said, "I promised to take you to a buffet, unless you want to go somewhere else?"

Nora thought about it and said, "Actually, would you mind if we see a movie together instead?" I smiled and said, "That's fine. What kind of movie were you thinking about watching?" She smiled and said, "I don't know, whatever you want, I guess." I nodded and said, "Okay, let's go." I headed over a Bullhead to Vale and Nora skipped her way after me. After we got to Vale, we found a nice movie theater. We went in and I bought 2 movie tickets. Halfway through the movie, I felt a bit of weight on my shoulder. I looked and saw that Nora had fallen asleep with her head on my shoulder. I smiled and a sudden thought went through my head, She's cute when she's asleep. I shook my head and thought to myself, Did I really just think that? Am I falling in love with Nora? I can't be, she's with Ren. When the movie ended, I got a message from Ray.



I woke up Nora and told her that the movie was over. She followed me to a nearby diner where we both got something to eat. While we were waiting for our food, Nora said, "So, Ace, if you don't mind me asking, how did you get that wicked scar across your eye?" I sighed and said, "Well, it was about 2 years ago."

Flashback

Since my parents had been killed by Grimm when they were on a mission, I had been on my own, getting by from helping out villages with any Grimm here and there. One day, I had taken out a small pack of Beowolves and I heard the loud screech of a Nevermore above me. It flew down to attack me, and one of its talons hit me across my eye. I ended up defeating the Nevermore.

End Of Flashback

I said, "My Aura had luckily protected me from losing my eye, but not without it leaving a scar." Nora looked at me in awe and said, "That sounds awesome!" I smirked and said, "It was nothing." We got our food and continued to share stories about ourselves with each other. Before we knew it, it was already dark outside. As we were walking back to our dorms, Nora said, "Hey, Ace." I looked at her and said, "Yeah?" She replied, "I had a great time today." I smiled and said, "Me too." Then I noticed that there was a sock on my dorm's doorknob. I sighed and said, "Hey Nora, would you mind if I crashed in your team's dorm tonight? I'm pretty sure Bella and Ray are having sex and I kinda don't want to walk in on that." She smiled and replied, "That's fine. I'm sure my team won't mind." I smiled and said, "Thanks, Nora." She nodded and I followed her into the room. Nora handed me a blanket and a pillow. I smiled and said, "Thanks, Nora." She smiled and said, "Goodnight, Ace." I replied, "Goodnight, Nora." Then I laid down on the couch in their dorm and fell asleep.
