After Penny was destroyed by Pyrrha and the Grimm started flooding into the school, I remembered the message from Cinder. I saw my teammates approach and Ray said, "Ace, come on. The White Fang are releasing Grimm into the school and someone hacked the Atlesian Knights and the Paladins. We got to help everyone."
Ray's POV
I saw Ace smirked mischievously as he pulled out Equinox. I looked at him confused and said, "Ace? What's that look for?" He smiled as he transformed Equinox into its katana form and charged towards me. Out of pure instinct, I used my semblance to double jump over him. Then I saw him stab Mason through the chest, killing him. Shocked, I said, "Ace?! What the hell is wrong with you? You killed Mason!" He smiled again and said, "I know. I'm just following orders. It's not personal, it's just good business." He started to fight Bella and I rather aggressively. He managed to make me fly back a few feet as he broke my Aura.
Then he transformed Equinox into its revolver form and shot Bella in the head, killing her too. I used Snap to retrieve her sword, Seductive Burst. I used it to block Ace's attacks. He eventually got an opportunity and knocked the sword out of my hands. He smirked and stabbed me in the chest. As he did, I noticed that his actions were not accidental, but his eyes were full of regret and sorrow. I managed to say, "You were always like a brother to me, Ace." Then everything went black.
Nora's POV
I saw Ace kill his own teammates. I had noticed that ever since his match in the tournament, he seemed like he wasn't himself. His eyes had always seemed to be longing for help, and since yesterday his eyes also seemed to be asking for forgiveness as well. I ran over to him and hit him with Magnhild. He turned toward me and his eyes were begging for help and forgiveness and were full of regret. But his body language and his actions suggested the complete opposite. He smiled and walked towards me with Equinox in it's katana form. It's steel blue blade was covered in blood.
Ace's POV (In his head)
I was floating in a dark room, where I had been since my team fought in the tournament. I saw a figure leaning against the wall. When they got closer, I realized that he was me, but with a more sinister appearance. He looked at me and said, "Well, Ace. I'm having fun. Let's kill our girlfriend while we're at it. It'll be fun to have you watch as you kill your own lover." I remembered what Cinder had messaged me earlier today.
Flashback
My Scroll went off and I saw that Cinder had texted me.

Nora's POV
Ace charged at me but I used my hammer to dodge him. He smirked and said, "Nora, my love, I really wish you hadn't seen me kill them." I growled as I replied, "That not what my Acey Wacey would say or do! Where is he?" He laughed and said, "You're looking at me! I've just had merely a change of view on the world. There's nothing you can do to stop me, Nora. The Ace you fell in love with is the one standing in front of you." Then he went to grab Ray's whip, Snap. When Ace bent over, I noticed that he had some wierd metal device on the back of his neck. I yelled, "If you're my Ace, then you better shock me to death, because I don't want to live in a world where the man I love kills his own teammates on purpose."
He smiled menacingly and used his semblance to electrocute me. I smirked and said, "I guess you forgot about my semblance." I used the electricity that he had just used on me and focused it on the device on his neck, frying whatever circuits were in it. He collapsed onto the ground. I ran over to him, took the thing off his neck, and tossed it into a fire nearby. I then heard him crying. I slowly approached him and said, "Ace? Are you back to normal?" He turned to me and started crying into my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him and said, "It's okay, Ace. I got you." He replied, "No, it's not okay. I just kill my own teammates."
I rubbed his back and said, "That wasn't you, you were being controlled." He replied, "I know. I've not been in control of my own actions since my team's match in the tournament. But I've been mentally aware of everything that I did. I could see and hear everything that I did or said, but I couldn't control myself. I watched myself kill my teammates, my friends. How am I supposed to live with that?" I hugged him and hit him in the back of the head. He looked at me and said, "What was that for?" I smiled warmly and said, "To get you to stop thinking so negatively. I think you could make it up to them by going after whoever did this. Either way, I'm not leaving you. I still love you, Ace. I always will." He nodded and said, "Thanks, Nora." Then he passed out.
