As we kept walking, Ruby said, "Come on, guys! If we pick up the pace, we can hit the next town before sunset!" Jaune said, "Assuming it's still there." Ruby replied, "Of course it'll be there. This one's supposed to be pretty big! Hee-gan...bayn-a." Seeing her struggle, I said, "Higanbana." Ren continued, "It's a well protected village with a popular inn." Nora replied, "Which means, no camping in the rain!" I smiled as Ruby said, "See? Everything's going to be fine!" Jaune said, "You know, we've had a lot of ups and downs. But things could be a lot worse. I really thought we'd see more Grimm." Ren replied, "As did I." I nodded and said, "Me too." Nora said, "I guess our luck is finally turning around! To Higanbana!" Jaune, Ren, and I replied, "To Higanbana!" And Ruby said, "To Higanban... ban-a!"
When we stopped at the Inn in Higanbana, I said to Nora, "I'll be back. There's something that I need to do." She nodded and I left the Inn. I walked over to a familiar house in the village and knocked on the door. A woman with dark green hair and emerald eyes answered the door and said, "Yes?" I sighed and said, "Hey, Mrs. Stone. It's me, Ace Dodger." She smiled and said, "Oh, Ace. It's so nice to see you again. I heard that you and Ray are on the same team. I heard about Beacon, it's unfortunate what happened. So, where's Ray?" I looked down and said, "During my team's match in the tournament, someone put some type of mind control device on me. I couldn't control anything I did or said. As a result, I was forced to watch as I killed my entire team during the Fall of Beacon. I'm so sorry. I really am. I completely understand if you don't want to see me again. I just thought you should hear it from me. And I think your son would want you to have this." I pulled out Snap and held it out to Mrs. Stone.
She stood there in silence for a few seconds, looking into my eyes before hugging me. Shocked, I just stood there and heard her reply, "It's not your fault, Ace. I can tell that you're telling me the truth. My semblance allows me to tell if someone is lying or not just by looking into their eyes. As for my son's whip, I think that he'd want you to have it." I hugged her back and said, "Thanks, Mrs. Stone." She smiled and said, "I heard about your parents by the way. I'm sorry for your loss." I nodded and said, "Thanks. I actually found out that my mom had a sister whose daughter was in the same year as me at Beacon. I'm actually traveling with her and some of my friends. Ren is actually one of them." She smiled and said, "That's good to hear. Ace, just know that you'll always be welcome here. And you make sure that the people that caused the Fall of Beacon pay." I nodded and said, "I will. Bye, Mrs. Stone." She replied, "Bye, Ace."
