Chapter 25

Saritha arrived in a hotel ballroom filled with a lot of people. Nag-hello muna siya sa mga event organizers at pagkatapos ay hinanap si Celine. She said she was already on their table. Pero sa entrance ay nakita niya si Ashley who was also looking around at mukhang kadadating lamang din.

"You are so famous, my dear friend!" bati niya kay Ashley, now a fashion designer known worldwide.

Ashley turned to look at her and screamed. "Saritha!!!"

"Yes girl! I'm here," she said cheerfully at niyakap ito.

"Oh my God! I didn't know you're here." Ashley screamed as well.

"It's a surprise! I just finished a project in Iceland last week at umuwi talaga ako para sa charity ball na ito. It's a project by one of my foundations."

"Sabi na nga ba!" Ashley exlaimed. "I thought this kind of event looked so familiar. Anyway, I'm here to support."

"Are you now? O baka naman humanap ng jowa? Look at you," Saritha said and eyed her from head to toe. "Can you make something like that for me in red? May pagsisisihin lang akong lalaki."

"Don't tell me this is still...?"

Ashley had a sense na may nangyari sa kanila noon ni Yego. "Celine is over there on that table. I stationed you both together!" pag-iiba niya ng topic habang nakaturo sa table malapit sa stage. It was a bit far from where they were standing.

As they walked towards the stage, halos mamutla si Saritha sa nakita. Yego was also sitting there on the same table. Pati si Aries. They were with Celine and Atticus.

Celine saw them coming and she mouthed a "sorry" to her. 

"No way. I'm sorry," Sari whispered to Ashley. "Hindi ko alam na dito rin sila sa table na ito."

Ni hindi man lang siya tinitigan ni Yego. He acted as if she wasn't there.  He went on to greet Ashley instead.

"Is that Ashley?" nakangiting bati ni Yego. "Hello!"

"Hi, Yego," ganting bati naman ni Ashley sa damuhong lalaking iyon. Saritha tried her best to ignore him. 

Atticus also stood up to welcome Ashley. "Hi you look great, Ashley! Long time no see."

Celine pulled out a seat for Ashley para doon umupo ang kaibigan niya. She whispered to Celine. "I'll leave her to your care, Celine. May ilan lang akong mga babatiing bisita." And she quickly walked as far as she can from that table. 

But she heard Yego call out to her. "Wait."

She pretended to not hear  at dirediretso siya sa wine table to get herself some drinks.

"Hey," Yego said at inagaw sa kanya ang bagong kuha niyang mango rum. 

"What the!" iritang wika niya ng bigla na lang hablutin sa kanya ni Yego ang inumin niya.

"You're still my wife dahil hindi pa nagsisimula ang annulment natin," he stated.

"So?" 

"So what are you doing prancing around wearing that thing?" 

She looked down at her dress. "What's wrong with it?"

"It's backless, sleeveless and look at that neckline! Gusto mo bang ma-rape ng mga lalaki dito?"

"Everyone who's invited here is decent. Unlike others. Hindi ko nga alam paano ka naimbitahan dito?" she sarcastically asked him. 

"Hindi ako natutuwa sa lumalabas diyan sa bibig mo," he declared. "Now, get something to cover yourself o bitbitin kita pauwi and I won't care kahit magsisigaw ka pa diyan."
