"The boat that the Speedwagon Foundation chartered us should be at the harbor now, so let's head over there," Mr. Joestar announced. You walked beside Kakyoin, eyes cast forward with emotions swirling inside of them.
"Y/n, I don't mean to pry, but are you okay?" He asked gently. You snapped from your daze and turned your head to face him. You smiled and rubbed the back of your neck sheepishly.
"Yeah! Sorry, I didn't mean to space out like that. My head's still kinda foggy from the stand." You lied. Your head was foggy because of what happened in the garden with Jotaro. Why would he kiss you like that and then leave you heartbroken because he couldn't get his feelings in check?
"Okay.." The redhead didn't seem to believe you but didn't ask any further questions. As you walked, you couldn't help but steal glances at his eyes. They intrigued you. The shades of purple matched his red hair almost perfectly. Kakyoin was one of those pretty boys, the ones that looked like they had come straight from a masterpiece painting. His jawline was sharp, and when he smiled, his cheeks bubbled up and made you want to smile.
You looked away, a small blush on your face. You thought he was attractive, then cursed yourself.
A soft sigh left your lips. It felt like you were on the walk home from school. The weather was just perfect, the warm air brushing against your legs and arms. Your arm slipped into the man's beside you before realization hit you like a bus.
You weren't walking home from school.
The boy beside you wasn't Jotaro.
"Ah! Sorry, Kakyoin!" You apologized, going to remove your arm before he laughed, the noise making your heart flutter.
"It's okay Y/n!" He smiled at you, his eyes glinting as he turned his head. "I don't mind."
Your cheeks dusted pink as you nervously tucked a hair away. "I'm just used to doing it Jotaro when we walk together. I guess it's just a force of habit." You said.
"Polnareff? Is there something else you need?" Both you and Kakyoin looked at each other before walking faster to catch up with Avdol and Mr. Joestar. Your eyes landed on the silver-haired man, annoyance evident on your features.
"Ah, Belle Amore! It's nice to see you again," The Frenchman bowed and then turned his head to Avdol. "I never got to thank you for freeing me from Dio's spell."
"Well, I am not the one to thank," Avdol said, shooting him a closed eye smile. "It would be Jojo,"
"Don't need it," Jotaro grunted, walking past you and Kakyoin.
"All right then." He slightly scoffed. "I don't like to be pushy either." You held back the urge to slap him for using that tone towards your friend. Wait..could he even be considered your friend? Yeah..nothing's changed between you two. You're just...having a dispute. "But there is something else. Monsieur Joestar, I'd like to ask you a very...bizarre..question."
"A bizarre question, huh? Well, ask away!" The old man rubbed his chin.
"I apologize for being so nosey, but I couldn't help but notice, even while you were eating, you didn't remove your gloves. Your left hand wouldn't be a right hand, would it?" Polnareff asked.
