The boat rocked back and forth in a soothing motion, and if you weren't so on edge, it probably could have lulled you to sleep. Before the boat had gone up in a huge explosion, you had managed to grab your bag full of your belongings. Now you were sitting on the lifeboat with the others, wearing an oversized sweater and shorts. You had learned the stowaway's name was Anne, and you two seemed to hit it off and get along well.
"Are you thirsty?" You asked, holding the canteen out to her. She took it eagerly and while you adjusted the bandages on your ankle (courtesty to Kakyoin) Anne drank the cool water. Suddenly she spat the water out and started sputtering. Mr. Joestar scolded her while you placed a hand on her shoulder worryingly.
"What's wrong?" You asked with a frown. Thats when she pointed past you and shouted,
"Look!"
Everyone turned their attention to where she was pointing, eyes landing on a large, yet slow moving ship. Your eyebrows furrowed together as you watched it slowly get closer. Something was definitely off about this. How in the world did none of you notice it until it was right on your tails? But before anyone could say anything, the ship's stairway lowered, and allowed access onto the boat. The remaining sailors on the boat ahead of you were already beginning to board onto the large vessel. You were the last to leave the life boat, taking Kakyoin and Jotaro's hand to help you up.
A suspicious feeling swirled around in your stomach as you walked further onto the boat. Anne must have felt the same way because as soon as she spotted you coming up the stairs, she ran to you and clung to your arm. You draped an arm over her shoulder as you looked around, eyes scanning the empty deck.
You were right. Something was definitely off.
"Is there something wrong, Y/n?" Polnareff asked.
"Let me ask you something, Polnareff." You said, turning your head to look at him. "Do you see any of the crew on board?"
"Well...no.." He said, scratching the side of his head as he looked around.
"Then who lowered the stairwell?"
At your question, everyone became more on guard and tensed up. You decided not to stray too far away from your group, and settled beside Kakyoin. There wasn't a lot of noise, besides the quiet chatter of the sailors talking. You couldn't shake the anixous feeling in your stomach. Everyone was on edge. Where was the crew od this boat?
A sudden creaking sound had everyone's attention turning towards a hook that was heading towards one of the sailors. Without even thinking, you covered Anne's eyes from the unsightly incident that was happening. No one was able to react fast enough as the hook came crashing down into the back of one of the sailor's head, killing him instantly. You grimaced and turned your head away, closing your eyes so you couldn't see the gruesome sight. The other occupants of the boat started freaking out.
"No one was by the controls!" One sailor shouted.
You and the others however, knew exactly how and why this had occurred.
"For now, lets keep out of plain sight since were aren't aware of the stand user," Mr. Joestar ordered.
"Um, Y/n," Anne said, tapping your shoulder, making you look back at her. "I was going to try and find a shower. Im really sticky from the sea water. Would you come with me?"
"Of course." You smiled, walking beside her as you two headed down under the deck. However, you stopped when your name was called. This time, it was Mr. Joestar.
"I think you two should stick together for the rest of the time were on here. Y/n can use her stand to protect the both of you, right?" He asked, to which you nodded.
