"Is that the one who snuck on board?" A deep voice said, making you look over at who you assumed to be the Captain. He loomed over the girl and the look he was giving her was making you uneasy. You frowned before slowly inching your way away from Jotaro and towards the girl. She saw you approaching, and the deep frown of concern on your face and ran to you. The Captain didn't like this and grabbed her shoulder and yanked her back."Im very strict about stowaways." The girls face twisted into fear as she looked up at him, making you clench your hand into a fist. "Ill lock you up down under until we reach the harbor."
Before the Captain could take another step, Mr. Joestar intervened. "Captain," He said, placing a hand on your back comfortingly. He must have saw your actions. "Did all the background checks on the sailors come back correct?"
The Captain stared at him for a moment before answering. "Thats right. These men have been working on this boat for the past ten years." He turned to face his crew, before facing both of you again. His eyes slightly narrowed. "I dont see why you are so insistant about it."
Suddenly, he whipped past you and snatched the cigarette from Jotaro's mouth, making your eyes widen slightly. The girl took this opportunity and ran to you and you grabbed her shoulders, holding her to your chest as you took a step away from them.
"Please refrain from smoking on deck," He said rather firmly and a bit bitchy. You were starting to not like this guy. Something seemed off about him. The girl clung to your arm as you narrowed your eyes at the old man.
This guy is to sus to be a Captain. Something fishy is going on.
"What were you planning on doing with the ashes once you were finished? Were you planning on throwing them in the beautiful ocean?" He then waved his hand, not allowing the teen in question to respond to him. "No matter," He sighed. "You are a guest of the ship, but i expect you to obey the rules." He then pressed the lit end to the golden pin on Jojo's hat, and once it was out, he opened Jotaro's gakuran pocket and dropped the cigarette butt inside.
Your stomach swirled with anticipation as you brought your stand out discretely and had it glitch out a can beside the Captain's foot to the other side of the deck. Your lips twitched up in a smirk when you saw his eyes follow the movement of the can.
"Hold it," Jotaro called, catching your attention. "If you wanted me to put it out, you could have just asked. You didn't have to be so dicky about it. Just who the hell do you think you re anyways?"
Sweat began to form at the Captain's brow, making your smirk widen even further. A look of nervousness and panic began to spread over his face. He knew he had been caught in the act.
"Hey, Jotaro!" Mr. Joestar scolded. "Its your fault, don't be so rude to the Captain!"
"What the hell are you smirking for?" Jotaro snapped at you, making you chuckle and push the girl behind you. "You think this is funny?"
"What the Captain just did gave him away," You said, crossing your arms over your chest. "I just used my stand to move a can by his feet to the other side of the deck and he watched as Atlantis did it. Only another stand user can see a stand. And the way the Captain is biting his lip and looking off to the side means he has something to hide." The others looked at you in surprise, then to the Captain.
"Y/n! You can't just accuse people like that!" Mr. Joestar said.
"She has a point," Jotaro said.
"A-a stand user? What's that?" The Captain asked, poorly attempting to buy his innocence.
"Don't play dumb with me," Jotaro said. "After all, I've found a way to tell stand users from other people."
"You can't be serious." Avdol mumbled.
