The next day, you had all woken up quite early to catch the bus to Varanashi. A woman was brought along with your group, Nena, who was apparently deep in love with Hol Horse. She was sitting beside Polnareff, who was trying to get her to answer his questions. Her face held an unamused expression, and it seemed anything Polnareff was saying was going in one ear and right back out the other. She had this dull look in her eyes that made you wonder what had happened with her and her "lover" to make her act in such a way.

When you arrived in Varanashi, everyone split up. You ended up tagging along with Polnareff and Nena, just for the hell of it. Kakyoin had invited you to go with him and Jotaro, but you had kindly declined. You didn't think you could handle both of them together. Especially Jotaro. So, you stuck with your next option. Mr. Joestar had gone to find a doctor to have a nasty looking bug bite checked out.

You slid your hands in your pockets after lighting up a cigarette, inhaling the nicotine and blowing the smoke back into the air. You were trailing a little behind the pair, watching their actions. Nena led you all across town, and eventually into an alleyway. You stood at the entrance, not wanting to advance inside to where the two of them stood. You flicked the butt to the ground, crushing it under your foot as you blew the remainder of the smoke from your mouth.

Your eyebrow raised when you saw Mr. Joestar run past Polnareff as Nena suddenly proclaimed her love towards Polnareff. You supressed a snort and shook your head to the ground. You knew that you should have probably said something, but you decided against it. You wanted to see how things would play out. Just for shits and giggles, you know? The next thing you know, Polnareff is leaning in to kiss Nena and a strange liquid spilled from her mouth.

"What the hell?!" Polnareff screamed in horror.

You, unable to contain it anymore, burst into laughter at his horrified expression.

"So, she is the user of the stand, The Empress." Mr. Joestar said, holding his injured arm. The woman, who was in some type of disguise, was actually an older grotesque woman. She must have used the disguise of 'Nena' to lure people in, just like she had done to Polnareff.

"You were tricked too easily, Polnareff," Mr. Joestar shook his head.

The sight of Polnareff's shocked and horrified face, and the bead of sweat that had formed on his forehead, made you laugh harder. You were doubled over at this point, absolutely losing your shit.

"God," You said, still giggling as you wiped your eyes. "That just made my day so much better,"

..

You continued to tease Polnareff on the way back, still giggly as you two accepted the task from Mr. Joestar to collect some things from the market.

"Please just drop it!" Polnareff groaned in embarrassment.

You giggled, tapping your chin in thought. "Hmm. Okay. But now I have blackmail material," He groaned louder, making you smile.

The vendors that surrounded you we bustling, the natives trying to get you to buy their products, haggle you on high prices, and all around trying to sell as much as they could before the day was over. The vibrant colors of all the shops, the fruits on display, and the culture was all attention grabbing. However, a certain shop had caught your eye. It was a jewelry shop. You grabbed Polnareff and dragged him over to it, ignoring his protests. Your eyes scanned over the jewelry, stopping on a bracelet.

"How pretty," You said, picking it up.

"Its just a bracelet," Polnareff said.

"Shut up," You said, sticking your tongue out. "You're not a girl."

"No offense," Polnareff said, holding up a ring. "But you don't seem like the type of girl who likes jewelry."

"Im usually not," You said. "But its nice to have every once in a while."

"Well.." Polnareff said, scratching the side of his head. He grabbed the attention of the shopkeeper and plucked the bracelet from your hands. "I wanna buy this." After he gave the shopkeeper the right amount of money, the bracelet was handed to you in a cloth.

You looked at Polnareff, smiling widely with bright eyes. "Thank you," You said, placing it on your wrist with the help of Polnareff. You held it up, watching the purple gems shine in the sunlight. "I love it."

"Yeah, don't mention it," Polnareff smiled.

You two continued to shop, returning back to the hotel later that day with all the supplies. You arrived back in Mr. Joestar's room, where the others were gathered. You and Polnareff set the many bags down, sighing in relief that you weren't lugging around the heavy bags anymore. You rubbed the back of your neck, sighing a little.

"Nice bracelet," Mr. Joestar said, making you turn to face him.

"Thanks. Polnareff got it for me," You said, extending your arm and allowing him to look at it.

"Its lovely," Kakyoin said. You smiled, but it soon dropped when you felt a sharp pain in your side. You placed your hand on the spot, furrowing your eyebrows together in pain. "Y/n? Are you okay?" Kakyoin asked.

"Y-yeah." You said, rubbing the spot. "I-its nothing."

"Are you sure?" Mr. Joestar asked. "Last time you said that, you were being attacked by a stand."

"Yeah," You said, straightening out. "I'm just a little sore is all," You turned back to the bags, trying to ignore the pain in your chest. Behind you, you heard the bed creak as someone stood up. You thought nothing of it as you finished removing the rest of the supplies. As you set an apple down, your wrist was snatched into a much larger hand. You gasped, and looked up at Jotaro.

"What are you..." You trailed off as Jotaro put his fingers on your wrist. He frowned. "How'd you Know?" You asked quietly.

"I'm not dumb," He said. "You've done this before. Where are they?"

"My bag. Front pocket." You sighed. He pushed you into the chair behind you.

"Jotaro! What are you Doing?" Mr. Joestar said in protest.

"Make sure she doesn't move from that chair." He said, leaving the room. You huffed and crossed your arms over your chest.

"Y/n?" Polnareff said. "What the hell is going on?"

"My heartbeat is abnormal," You explained. "Its a condition instead born with. I have pills that steady it out. Usually it only happens when I'm overwhelmed. I'm okay though, really," You added after seeing their worried faces.

"Was it such a good idea for you to come?" Mr. Joestar asked.

"I'll be fine," You said. "If I didn't think I couldn't do it, then I seriously wouldn't have came. I know my limits, Mr. Joestar. Just please trust me."

He seemed hesitant before he gave you a firm nod.
