028- ISLE OF THE WITCH

CLEANDRA

"What just happened?", I immediately exclaimed when I was finally able to regain my poise from our sudden... instantaneous travel. I can sense that the others were still mentally disoriented at napahawak sila sa ulo nila habang napapangiwi.

"W-Where are we?", one of the girls asked. Kaagad akong napalingon sa paligid. My eyes widened when I saw the tall buildings around us---not to mention the familiar writings written on every store, billboard, or whatever media platform there is.

The people around us were either busy with their phones, taking calls, or just swiftly walking past us. This is indeed one busy city. At ang linis!

"No way. We're in---", I gasped when I realized where we are. Hindi ko na natapos ang sasabihin ko when Eur cut me off.

"Tokyo, Japan. Obviously.", he finished. Pasimple ko siyang sinipat sa gilid. Panira eh.

We were astounded by the sight of the city. We're currently standing in the Shibuya crossing right now.

"Everyone's busy here in Tokyo huh?", tila bagot na kumento ni Via. One of the semideus daughters of the Greek god of sleep, Hypnos, at isa sa mga kasama namin sa Gamma Team. With weary and misty eyes, she roamed her gaze around the busy streets of Tokyo.

"Captain, what are we gonna do now?", one of our team members asked. Biglang sumeryoso si Eur bago kami hinarap.

"Some of the details just don't add-up. Don't you all think that our transportation was too... sudden?", bakas ang pagdududa sa boses niya kaya nagkatinginan kami nung iba. Now that he mentioned it...

"Yeah. The goddess Eunomia's additional instructions earlier clearly didn't help us that much too. Parang tinakot niya pa nga tayo eh. And... our hints for this tournament. Yun na talaga yun? As in? Wala na bang mas malinaw pa dun?", I exclaimed in disbelief, referring to that long riddle-like poem that we were trying to figure out for two weeks now. Some of our teammates agreed with me.

"The vice-captain has a point. Hindi manlang tayo binigyan ng specific routes o kahit konting resources manlang na magagamit? And you've got to be kidding me. We have five days to finish the tournament? I have no idea what the gods are planning this time.", masungit naman na saad ni Tris. A daughter of the Greek goddess of mischief, Até while crossing her arms. I almost slapped myself in frustration when one of the guys spoke against her, si Glade. A son of Taygete. One of the seven Pleiades, and a mountain nymph.

"Genius. Nandun na sa mahabang poem yung lahat ng hints na kailangan. Now, our only problem would be---", we all stopped when a fearsome lightning suddenly struck before our very eyes kasabay nang pagyanig ng buong lupa at malakas na pagbuhos ng ulan sa paligid.

Just when we were about to take our leave, a loud and thunderous voice suddenly echoed out of nowhere, enough to make the rest of our team stop.
