043- THE LIFEBLOOD OF THE EARTH
"Kai, what happened?", halos hindi ko marinig ang sarili kong boses as I struggled from Kai's embrace. I tried to shove him off para makita ko ano yung nangyayari pero konti nalang ang natitira kong lakas.
"H-He's... d-dead. H-He's gone! You killed him! Murderer!"
Clea's voice from earlier kept ringing inside my head and made my heart pound in uneasiness as I felt Kai tighten his hold, trying to subdue me.
"Calm down, la mia principessa.", he suddenly told me. I instantly noticed something wrong from the tone of his voice as he whispered those words to me. Mas lalo akong kinabahan.
"Let me go, Kai. Please, I want to see. ", parang napaos yung lalamunan ko sa mga huling salitang binitawan ko. Someone died. Someone died because of me.
Why won't you let me take a look on what's happening behind you?
My vision clouded and my hearing began to falter, as an after-effect of all the energy drained out of my body from the attack I executed earlier.
I swear I heard a series of sobs from the girls.
I saw how they ran past me and Kai as I caught a glimpse of panic and horror from their expressions. They rushed towards the part of the temple floor just behind Kai, but since his massive frame was blocking my sight ay hindi ko makita yung pinagkakaguluhan nung ibang class Primarius.
No matter how I struggled from Kai's hold, he didn't let go of me as he caged me against his chest. I couldn't even hear their voices anymore as my sense of hearing drowned in silence.
"Please.", I managed a whisper, although I wasn't so sure if my voice was still audible.
My eyes weary and tired as my body ached all-over. The only ounce of strength left in me was the ability to stand, but not for long, dahil unti-unti naring nanghihina ang mga binti ko kaya sinuportahan ako ni Kai.
I slowly lowered my gaze down the floor until I saw something that shook what's left of my entire system.
Blood.
Kai and I were standing in a pool of glistening metallic red blood that I most certainly am sure came from one of us, a semideus. But it wasn't mine or Kai's. Who was it?
"I'm sorry, Ahlkria.", I heard a very faint whisper in my ear that almost sounded like a gush of wind as it disappeared in a blink. The voice sounded familiar.
The class Primarius. My mother. The hourglass. Chronos. Did we win? Was the second piece of the prophecy fulfilled?
"Rest for now, daughter of Hecate. You've done well."
Those were the last words I heard before I felt myself slowly drifting into the abyss.

I let out a faint groan when I felt a sharp twinge on my back, until I felt the soft cushioned sheets pressing against my aching body. Diretso akong napamulat ng mga mata ko.
The familiar scent of my bedroom enveloped my senses as I roamed my eyes above the ceiling.
Wait. I'm back at the House of Hecate? Nasa academy na ako?
