"You better behave, annoying brat.", I glared at Eureca who's standing right beside me. She just rolled her eyes in irritation. Mom asked us to scatter across the training ground with our partners for the warm-up. Wala parin ako sa tamang pag-iisip ngayon. I'm furious. I want to know who the traitor really is.
"Hey brain boy.", I heard the annoying brat call me. I faced her with a pestered look.
"Ano?!", I sneered at her. Kaagad niya akong sinapak na ikinadaing ko. Napahawak ako sa panga ko.
"What in the name of Nemesis is your problem, woman?!", she's getting out of hand! This girl is wild!
"As much as I hate brainiac guys like you, I also want to help out.", she stated. Napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. I gave off a dumbfounded look, napabuntong-hininga naman siya nang mapansing hindi ko nakuha kaagad yung ibig-sabihin niya.
"Yander told us something earlier. Kami nina Clea at Niles. He confirmed... the traitor.", pagkasabing-pagkasabi nun ni Eureca ay para akong tinamaan ng kidlat. My spine chilled. By the gods of Olympus, why didn't Yander tell us himself?
"He said that there were new members of The Insurrection. A descendant of the primordial deities Chaos, Ananke, and Aether---", I swiftly covered her mouth to stop her from speaking as I suspiciously roamed my eyes around the rest of us here to make sure na walang ibang nakarinig sa sinabi niya. Marahas niya namang inalis ang pagkakatakip ng kamay ko sa bibig niya and shot me daggers with her deadly stares.
"Don't touch me again!", she resisted and wiped her lips using the back of her hand. I rolled my eyes. Arte.
"Lower your voice a little, you annoying brat. I don't want the others to suspect. Especially not, the traitor.", I said the last words with emphasis---hopefully, makuha kaagad nang babaeng toh ang ibig kong sabihin. She clicked her tongue before continuing what she was about to say earlier...
"Look, the point is, your 'suspicion' might be correct, brain boy. Yander informed us earlier that when he went back to the Legacies' hideout---", I cut her off.
"He went back to the Legacies' hideout?", ulit ko. Just making sure that I heard her right. Binatukan niya naman agad ako.
"You can be a total idiot sometimes, do you know that?", sarkastikong kumento niya at tsaka inirapan ako. I gritted my teeth. This girl is testing my patience.
"He never saw the descendant of Aether, the primordial deity of light. The Legacies' 'captain' said that he went away for a 'special mission.' Yun ang iniulat ni Yander sa'min kanina.", hindi ko alam pero awtomatiko akong napalingon kay Kiran pagkasabi nun ni Eureca. My brows instantly creased when I noticed how he was talking with Theo na kaharap niya ngayon. Pinanliitan niya ito ng mata.
"I knew it. I never trusted that Kiran in the first place. I was right all along. It wasn't Theoddeus.", mahinang sambit ko but it wasn't when I heard Eureca let out a look of disapproval. She smirked.
"You can never be sure of that, brain boy. Remember the Titanomachy? You said so yourself a few days ago. The usual plot---a son and heir, starting a rebellion against his own father. First with the titan Cronus, then the Olympian god Zeus, and now... a semideus.", she gave me a meaningful look and then shot a questionable look at Theo for a second before finally turning towards me again. Nakatitig lang ako sa kanya.
