I hate the new Wattpad, u can't move some specific part of your story to other story =/ AND the order of all of my stories is all messed up...ugh... i hate that! Well, here's the new interview

What is your name?

My name is Kelsey.

How old are you?

I'm nineteen years old.

What inspired you to write your first book?

Uh... well, my first story was about a dog and cat falling in love and living in a castle, but I was also like five when I wrote it. My first real book that I gave up on - it was so bad, you have no idea - was inspired by the fact I was reading a lot of books, and I'd get frustrated when the author didn't do what I thought was better, ha ha. So I just started writing my own so I could call the shots, I guess. 

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

Diana Gabaldon. I don't know, she's just incredible. Her's was the first real love story I ever read, and it was amazing, I totally fell in love with Jamie and wanted to be Claire. She's just so brilliant in the story she weaves and the character development that you can't help but get one hundred percent entranced in the perfect way she writes.

 What is your favorite theme/genre to write about?

Oddly, I like romance, with a humor though. In real life I'm about the least romantic person ever, but I love to write about it.

Do you see writing as a career?

I'd love it to be, but I'm thinking it will probably end up being more a hobby. I'm getting slowly shoved into a different career that I do really enjoy already even though I'm still a teenager, so I'll just keep writing on the side.

If you could work with any author who would it be? 

Well, I worked with jules130 on wattpad for a crossover already, does that count? It was great, we had a lot of fun, although we tend to get off topic. When we went to England together no writing go done though.

Do you use real-life facts based on true stories?

I use incidents sometimes that have happened to me in real life, but I change them. I mean, my characters aren't ME, you know? They're going to react differently and the consequences are completely different.

Did you ever think you'd be, where you are right now?

Where? I guess you mean with fans and such? I have the best fans on wattpad, they're literally very devoted and amazing. I never expected to have any fans actually, even though it's a trip and makes me want to do Peter Townsend windmills.

What advice would you give to people who "run out of creativity" when writing?

I'll just quote Hunter J Thompson, "I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone,but they've always worked for me." 

Do you ever suffer from writer's block? If so, what do you do about it?

When I hit writers block I go do manual labour and listen to music, hang out with friends, ride horses with my CDs blasting, pester J until she gives me advice, go get drunk among other things, go to a party, write about completely nothing. Anything that's different, I think writer's block comes when people put themselves in a box and say they "have" to write about a certain thing or event, you write because YOU enjoy it, not for anyone else and I think it's easier when it comes naturally. Let writer's block come, but don't try to fit it, just let inspiration come to you.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Ugh. I'm not good with advice, it always turns out badly ha ha. I'm going to quote more people. Billie Joe Armstrong - "I don't want to limit myself musically. It would be really limiting if we'd neglect something we really wanted to do, like explore other styles of music." I think if you change music to writing, it's very solid advice. Oh, and "No one's really happy anyway, it's not human." for those that aren't happy with something they've written, I know I'm never happy with my writing.

Anything fun about yourself you want your fans to know?

I ride ten horses a day, along with doing the entire twenty stall barn my family owns and all the work that goes along with it that no one understands unless they have a farm, I even used to work a full time job with that. So when they complain that I don't update, THAT'S why. Oh, and when I was younger I was a figure skater, I was actually pretty good, went all over Canada for it.

How would you describe yourself?

A tad insane, I'd say. I mean, my family thinks I'm bipolar because my mood switches so quickly depending on my writing. Very tired from riding. I go through intense phases with my favorite musicians - right now I'm on Green Day. I tend to surprise people, people don't expect me to act the way I do most of the time. I'm friendly, though kind of a bitch. I like... dogs?
