I walked through the O.L.Y.M.P.U.S. building for what seemed like the fifth time today.
Normally, I was the person they were talking about. But this time, everything was about some kid named Percy Jackson, known to the public as riptide.
I saw the familiar face that somehow no one else had recognized yet. Sure, I had never met him, but seeing his face on the screen so much, it felt like I knew him.
"So your the knew superhero in the block. I'm Rewind,"
"Rewind? Your rewind? Oh my god, oh my god! I can't believe I'm in the presence of an actual superhero! Oh my god! Can I get picture with you?" Percy fangirled.
"Sure dude," we took a quick picture and then I got serious, "how did you do that anyway?"
"I don't know. Grover says I'm different, but I really don't know how,"
"Grover? Who the heck is that?"
"He's my friend, he actually built my suit,"
"And yet he doesn't have a job here? That's oughta change. Why not give him a call? Your gonna need someone in the coms,"
"Wait, really? Your gonna-he's gonna, oh my gosh!"
"Woah, woah. Chill, stop fangirling for one moment. Call him, bring him here, and I'll handle the rest. Just meet me in the training room in thirty minutes,"
"Okay. I will so do that. Thank you so much. Would it be weird if we hug? I think it would be weird. I still kinda want to hug though. You know what, I'm gonna go before I embarrass myself more. I'm so sorry, uh, thanks. For everything,"
Percy ran away quickly, and Luke smiled at the young boy. He was just like him when he was younger, naive and always seeing the good in people.
Luke walked over to the training room, setting one of the robots up in the hardest mode possible.
The robots came at him full force, and he slowed time down for a moment, moving out of the way before slashing at them.
When the last robot was down, he stopped for a drink of water, only to be met by familiar sea green eyes.
                              "Where's your friend?"
Percy shrugged, "dunno, boss-man took him to the coms room,"
                              "Boss-Man?"
"Yeah. Why'd you want to meet with me anyway?"
"Well, I need a bit of practice, you need some training, so kill two birds in one stone?"
                              "I'm down for it,"
I trained with him for a while, before we sat down and took a break. I looked at the raven haired boy in front of me, "you go on any missions since your grand reveal?"
"Nope. They all belong to you. But what could I expect? I mean, your the big shot hero, I only go out if your hurt,"
I opened my mouth to speak when one of our employees burst through. Ethan looked at me, "mission. She calls herself Kelli, come on luke,"
I looked at Percy who gave me an encouraging smile. "Ow. I'm hurt, guess Percy has to go," I said unconvincingly.
                              Ethan smiled, "you ready kid?"
                              "You sure?"
                              "Go get 'em kid,"
