KESHA'S

It's been a week since we broke up. And I didn't hear anything from him. I just know that his upcoming solo concert is next week.

"Okay ka lang ba?" Tanong ni Judith.

Natawa ako. "Baks, mga isang linggo mo nang tinatanong yan. Okay lang ako. Don't worry."

"Hmp. Sabi na kaya di maganda pakiramdam ko dyan kay Monica, ay Monique pala. Ay ewan! Basta, ang ahas niya."

Tumawa ako. "Let it go. Move on na us, okay?" Sabi ko pero nakasimangot pa rin siya.

Mayamaya ay kumatok si Laine, our secretary.

"Miss Kesh, may call po kayo from Miss Ricafort."

Tumingin ako kay Judith. Tumango siya sa akin at pumorma na lalabas na.

"Sige, transfer the call to me, Laine. Thank you."

Lumabas si Judith at na-transfer na sa akin ang call.

"Hello, Ma'am. This is Kesha Mallari speaking."

"Hi, Ms. Mallari! Sorry to still bother you. I just call to let you know that the position I needed in Paris is still available. And I want to offer it to you again. If you are interested, then good. If not, there's no problem."

Napaisip ako. Nangako ako kay Miss Ricafort na ngayong araw ko ibibigay ang sagot sa kanya. She's offering a second chance.

I told Ms. Ricafort that I will go to her to properly inform her. Pero bago ito, sinabi ko muna kay Judith.

"Maybe you can go now. Don't you think it's perfect timing? Mapupursue mo na yung dream mo, plus, makakapag-move on ka pa doon. Away from the toxicity here." Sabi niya habang umiinom ng milktea.

"Char. But hey, it's your dream, right?"

Well, yeah... it is. Naputol ang pag-uusap namin nang kumatok at pumasok si Monica.

"Excuse me. Kesh, can we talk?" She said.

Umiling si Judith sa akin.

"I'll be there in a minute." I said to her. Tumango naman siya at saka lumabas.

"It's not a good idea, baks. Wag kang tumuloy."

Umiling ako. "I think it is a good idea. Maybe it's time to confront her, baks. I also need to know the reason. I need this."

She sighed. "Okay. Just call me pag kailangan mo ng tulong sa pagsabunot dyan."

I laughed. "Gaga ka! Brutal ka?"

"Anyway, thank you so much, baks! For being my very best friend." And then I hugged her and she hugged me back.

It's really good to know that I still have a best friend. A real one.

Paglabas ko sa lobby ng office, nandoon si Monica. At pinagkakaguluhan siya ngayon. Napansin ko na nagpapa-consult sila sa kanya about fashion.

I cleared my throat to call their attention. Agad silang tumango sa akin at unti-unting nag-alisan.

"I think, if they need a consultation about fashion, I think it is me or Miss Mendoza they will be talk with. Last time I check, it is our forte." Then I smiled to Monica.

Napansin ko kasi na palagi na lang sa kanya lumalapit ang mga stylist namin simula nang dumating siya. I think she really loves attention, huh?
