"I-i'm sorry." My voice broke.
He's not speaking anymore, kaya ibinaba ko na 'yung tawag nang wala nang nagsasalita sa aming dalawa. Naka-ilang gulong na ko sa kama, pero hindi na ko makabalik sa pagtulog ko. Until I got a text message from Ashley.

Girl, napanood ko 'yung presscon mo kanina. Bakit mo naman sinabi na friends lang kayo?
To: Ashley
I did that for him.
From: Ashley
Nasasaktan siya.
I did not answer her anymore, 'cause I felt a sting in my heart again after reading her last message. I started to feel that I'm going to cry again, I tried my very best to stop myself. I don't want to cry. Hindi naman siguro ako iiyak kung hindi ako nasasaktan, diba? I'm hurt too, pero kailangan kong tiisin kasi ginusto ko din naman 'to.
The next day I woke up feeling lazy. I'm not even in the mood to smile at them. Nagulat na lang ako pagbaba ko sa sala, Judi and Ash were there.
"Good morning!" Ash greeted me excitedly. That was her usual attitude.
"Morning." I smiled a little.
"Someone's not in the mood today." Ashley whispered to Judi which I actually heard.
I headed to the kitchen to have breakfast, and invited them to eat with me. Dark has still class, at next week pa ang semestral break nila. While my parents were out for work, kaya ako lang naiwan. Good thing, my friends were here.
We spent the day watching a netflix series. I was trying to hold my laugh, and close to shed a tear because of so much happiness when Ashley tried to imitate Nanno's laugh. She was like a retarded sea lion 'tho.
"Lion King na lang panoorin natin susunod!" Pagpilit ni Judi kay Ash na may hawak ng remote.
"Kissing Booth gusto ko. Ikaw na nga namili ng Girl from Nowhere eh." Ngumuso si Ashley habang hinahanap 'yung gusto niyang panoorin.
Judi tries to steal the remote from her, "Eh nagustuhan niyo din naman eh."
Pumwesto siya sa TV at hinarangan ito para hindi makita ng maayos ni Ashley 'yung hinahanap niya, "Magugustuhan mo din 'to promise. Tungkol 'to sa na-friend zoned. Umupo ka na nga dito!"
Wala na siyang nagawa at umupo na lang sa tabi niya. I was just looking at them, hiding my smile. Para silang mga bata.
"Makaka-relate ka kasi diyan 'no?" Judi suddenly said.
Biglang nanlaki mata ni Ashley, "Hoy foul 'yan!" We both laughed.
After finishing the movie, Judi was helping me bake some cupcakes for meryenda, while Ash was still in the sala watching some tiktok videos. We suddenly felt like we're starving, and I craved for cupcakes, anyway.
"You're not good."
I suddenly looked at Judi who's now mixing the batter. Akala ko may kausap siyang iba sa phone niya, pero mukhang para sa akin 'yon.
"I'm good." I let out a small smile without looking at her.
I heard her sigh, "Nag-usap na kayo ni Axel?" She looked at me with concern in her eyes.
Umiling ako sa kaniya and frowned. We really haven't talked after our last phonecall. Hindi rin siya nagparamdam, may expiration date din ba 'yung pagkagusto niya sa'kin? Kaya ba hindi niya na ko kinakausap?
