"My own car?" I shockingly asked, "Seriously?"
He smiled at me, and nodded slowly before sipping in his coffee. After breakfast, naligo ako agad. I was so excited to get a new car. Dad and I went out, at naiwan si Dark kay mommy. I can't believe I'm going to have my own car.
Dad wanted me to have a Montero, but I declined 'cause that was so elegant. I don't want to look so classy in front of anybody, especially I'll just use it to travel for my internship. I was hardly choosing between Corolla Altis and Camry, sila na 'yung mga pinaka simple doon. I ended up taking a black Camry TRD, I was so fascinated with its interior.
Ang bilis lang namin, para lang akong bumili ng candy sa tindahan. Dad was so sure about the car I chose dahil kaibigan niya ang may-ari nito.
"I'll enroll you to a driving class tomorrow." Dad told me while he's driving. We left the car there dahil si kuya Noel na lang ang kukuha nito bukas, kasabay ng driving lessons ko.
"No need, daddy." I looked at him, but he was focused on the road, "I have someone in mind to teach me how to drive. He used to drive for his auntie, back then." I smiled when I remembered him. Good thing my dad agreed.
"Bitawan mo 'yung gas ng dahan-dahan! Ang bilis mo masiyado!" Axel yelled at me, he tightened his hold in my hand that's on the steering wheel.
"Natataranta ako, ano ba!" My eyes were fixed on the road, trying to concentrate. But everytime Axel raises his voice at me, name-mental block ako at naaapakan ng madiin 'yung gas.
"Oh, may humps. Brake, 'wag mo bibiglain." He tried to control the temper of his voice, I successfully passed the humps, "Clutch ulit, tapos primera." He said gently, trying to ease my panic.
"Oki doki." I smiled after passing through that obstacle. I sighed in relief when my driving went smooth already. I also heard Axel sighed heavily, "Ang OA mo naman! Hindi naman tayo mabubunggo." Suhestiyon ko sa kaniya.
He was massaging his temples, sumakit siguro ang ulo katuturo at kakasigaw sa'kin. Pwede niya naman akong turuan ng mahinahon. I suddenly got a funny idea. I pushed the gas hard, and turned it to segunda. It was an open space naman, so I don't have to worry na baka may mabunggo ako. I'm also nervous, but this will be fun. I saw how Axel's eyes grew.
"Anong ginagawa mo!? Slow down! Hindi ka pa pro!" He scolded. Napangisi ako nang makitang natataranta na siya ng kaunti.
I pretended like I'm panicking, para mas lalo siyang mataranta, "I don't know how!"
"Step on the brake!" He shouted, but still tried to remain calm.
I smirked and stepped on the brake intentionally, kaya ang lakas ng biglaang pagpreno namin. Good thing, we wore our seatbelts, kung hindi ay baka nabagok na 'yung mga ulo namin. I saw how his eyes glared at me in my peripheral view.
"That's not funny." He said in a low voice that made me real nervous kaysa sa ginawa ko kanina.
